Re: Godzilla king of the monsters trailer!

Looks pretty good. I'm curious to see how Twig Boy from the Verizon commercials does in a large-screen acting role.

Re: Why is Wonderfest Held Where It Is Every Year?

As a member of a group that also stages a show (MFCA), I'll add that there is some inertia, if you will, to changing a venue, unless there is a truly compelling reason. I still hear from old-timers how much more they liked our show, when it was held at this or that previous venue. We went from holdi...

Re: DVDs...Whatcha' bought lately?

I just picked up "The Terminator". I never had that, in my library, but I was ordering some books recently on Amazon and decided to drop the hammer and add the disc. For as dated as it is, in terms of the look and feel of the movie, it's still a great sci-fi/action film that holds up well.

Re: Books. What are you reading?

Watching "The Expanse" inspired me to start reading the novels. I just started reading the first one, "Leviathan Wakes". It's OK. It's helpful to explain certain details in the TV series, that aren't clear just from the visuals, or from the dialog.

Re: How to post your photos using Photo Bucket

I don't know why anybody uses Photobucket, much less pay for it! It seems to be a big hassle. Not at all. First, it's easier for me to store my photos with a host, and link the images back to any forum I belong to, than to have to deal with each forum's unique file and image size restrictions on at...

Well, I'm working my way through "Breaking Bad" and I'm in season 4. Gale's karaoke video has Peter Schilling's "Major Tom" stuck in my head now.

Re: How to post your photos using Photo Bucket

There are a couple of things to remember, beyond just the choice of photo host. In my case, I bit the bullet, when I finally used up my quota of free space at Photobucket, and paid for an account. I took the smallest storage capacity, at $49/year. As soon as I did that, I noticed that it impacted my...

Re: Original SW Restored... but what's the big deal on this?

...I dunno, maybe there was a DVD release too; I didn't have a DVD player yet. There is a two-disc DVD release that contains both the original theatrical release and the version in which George Lucas says, "Wait, there's a bunch of stuff I forgot to tell you when I first told you the story.&qu...

Re: 2016 JerseyFest Show - August 26th to 28th

Want to at least consider attending this year. What airport to you suggest travelers fly into if they're coming from out west? Thanks. Lehigh Valley Intl Airport isn't too far, either. From LVIA, you just shoot out I-78 East to I-287 North. It's about an hour's drive. I live in Bethlehem and that's...

I'm with the others, beautifully finished, and your attention to the details like the inside of its mouth, and his lunch, as well as your colors and finish overall, has produced a really beautiful model!

Beautiful job of detailing that kit! Your hard work paid off. The finish pattern for the hull plates is very cool, that came out nicely.

Re: Books. What are you reading?

Haven't gotten very far in it yet, but I like it. It's the first Dick (hehe) novel I read. I'm told it's considered his best, but I guess I should reserve judgement until I have read a couple of his works. Heady stuff you're reading. How do you like it? It's pretty good. Smith's, or to use his give...

Re: Books. What are you reading?

I'm currently reading, "The Rediscovery of Man", the collected short stories of Cordwainer Smith. I had only ever read his short story, "The Crime and Glory of Commander Suzdal", and I was curious to read the who collection. I need to get his novel, "Norstrillia", too.

Re: Books. What are you reading?

I'm just starting "The Man in the High Castle", the classic Philip K Dick novel. Got interested after seeing the Amazon Prime series first season. Before that, I read "The Martian" right before the movie came out, then saw the movie. Loved both....read the book in 2 nights. Coul...

Re: DVDs...Whatcha' bought lately?

Season 11 of King of the Hill . Before that, apart from the previous seasons of KotH, I picked up FLCL for my anime library, and Stalag-17, The Great Escape and The Dirty Dozen for my WWII library. It's not an acquisition, but I'm watching SyFy Channel's The Expanse online. Well, up through Episode ...

Re: Making bottles

Thanks for sharing this! Interesting, it's basically the heat-and-smash technique. I thought at the beginning, that she was making a mold to use to cast with clear resin. I've messed around with shape clear sprue, too. I have also been thinking about making drinking glasses, especially wine glasses....
