Re: COUNTDOWN TO WONDERFEST

I was planning to go, but had to cancel at the last minute. Everybody have fun and take lots of pictures to share with the rest of us!

Re: Prisma Color Pencils

I've never used colored pencil on wood, but I have done a lot of colored pencil drawings. You have to be careful with clearcoats on top of them - the pencils are oil- or wax-based and the solvents in some clearcoats will melt them. Anything water-based should be OK. I use Krylon Fine Art Fixative or...

I really wanted to go this year, but...I think I'm going to have to skip it. Maybe next year.

Chris Cornell R.I.P.

Another great singer gone. Badmotorfinger and Superunknown were part of the essential soundtrack of my adolescence. I was stoked when Soundgarden reunited but never got a chance to see them.

Re: Photo bucket

Hi, I have PB and am fed up with the ad's as well I'll try DeviantArt and could you tell me what GIMP stands for ? I haven't a smart phone so I use my PC for all my internet work. Karl I think it stand for "GNU Image Manipulation Program." But don't ask me what GNU stands for... I...

Re: Photo bucket

I've used it before, but didn't like the interface. Probably just me. My previous editing program got me used to doing things one way, and that made things not very intuitive for me in GIMP. I did find it very useful for making animated gifs though. It's not just you, GIMP's a pain to figure out. I...

Re: Photo bucket

I've given up on PB too. I edit photos on paint.net or GIMP (both free to download, GIMP has more functions but paint.net is quicker and easier). I use DeviantArt as my photo host.

Re: Thinning Craft Paints With Windshield Washer and Future?

Thanks guys. Sounds like maybe if I use 25 percent water, 25 percent future, and 50 percent Windshield Washer fluid, I might be on to something. Then I could use a few drops of that in my craft paints and see what happens. Do you think the Future adds some gloss, to the paint, or what? I never did ...

Re: Next concert on the calandar

I saw three great shows this week in Music City - legendary guitarist Wayne Moss, singer-songwriter Steve Earle, and the Queen of Rock'n'Roll, Wanda Jackson. I guess most people know Earle and Jackson, but Moss is one of those guys mainly known to other musicians. He was the founder of country virtu...

I bought no kits whatsoever -just some sculpting supplies. One of these days I'll come to Wonderfest when I'm not broke!

Re: 3 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having fun so far! I've seen several excellent demos, bought a bunch of sculpting supplies, and been overwhelmed by the quantity and quality of model kits for sale in the dealer's rooms and on display in the model contest.

Re: Next concert on the calandar

I'm vaguely embarrassed to admit this, but I'm pretty excited to see Heart, Joan Jett, and Cheap Trick in a few months. I actually saw Cheap Trick at my very first concert- they opened for STP. I was 16 and had no idea who they were; I hadn't discovered classic rock yet. I had tickets to see the leg...

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but this is the first I'd heard of this. I'm confused. I have season 20 on DVD...are they just not going to release 18, 19, and 21+? Ugh.

Re: Merle Haggard Passes........

The girl and I have been listening to Haggard records all day in his honor. She and her dad had tickets to see him in a few weeks...

He was one of the greats. Not too many of the Golden Age country stars are left - it's pretty much down to Willie and Loretta now as far as I can see.
