Re: Del Toro's Frankenstein

Loved it! Great to see a new vision and interpretation of this timeless tale. Amazing set design, costume, wonderful make-up and emotionally charged with the tragic consequences of playing with creation. Having 2 sons of my own, it certainly hit my heart strings. I don't think it was ever meant to g...

Re: The Lowbudget Model Museum on YouTube!

Amazing collection Tim, many thanks for taking the time to create this guided tour of your work! Many years of collecting and hours of modelling pleasure, it's also a historical guide of the garage kit industry as well, from early days up to the present, capturing such iconic figures in all their gl...

Wow, so lifelike! I think this is one of the best skin effects I've seen on a figure, the textures, tones and subtle colours are so well observed. Brilliant work Derek, ballpark perimeter completely cleared!
All the best,
Paul

You missed a great show mate All right, don't rub it in, thanks for reminding me! On the flip side, we had an incredible trip to Romania, the visit to Bran Castle being particularly impressive. My son's fiancée was our guide and interpreter, often jumping from English to Romanian and then Hungarian...

Brilliant work Tim, I love the haunting look on the 1922 one and the Kinski / Adjani one is wonderful, one of my valued treasures in my display cabinet as well! I'm currently working on the Robert Eggars version by Pestilence Labs, super creepy and lovely details, a build thread coming soon. Cheers,...

Re: Iron Maiden's Eddie

Yeah, those are nice, but I couldn't justify the cost vs the size. Especially since I already have the set from CMON https://www.tylisaari.com/models/eddie/mini.htm I think the kit you are discussing is the one from Creative Castings. https://www.tylisaari.com/models/eddie/troopfull.htm Which was a...

Re: Iron Maiden's Eddie

Very cool, looks like the Piece of Mind version? I was watching the Flight 666 documentary recently, when Bruce flew the band round the world in 2008. That man is from another planet, how can one person be a top vocalist, aircraft pilot and Olympic fencing champion?! Some great footage of them deliv...

The appearance of the sheer fabric is wonderful!
Cheers my friend, I think you still take gold for careful masking with that pin stipe jacket!

'The Lover' - Ingrid Pitt Tribute

Hi Folks, Here's my take on this lovely tribute kit, a lot of work but good fun and a welcome edition to my Hammer kit display. 'The Lover' - Ingrid Pitt Tribute

Hi Folks, I hope you are all having a good summer so far. Hammer fan that I am, this was a kit I wanted badly, sculpted beautifully by Chuck Needham and released back in 2012 by Vin Bordogna at Resin Crypt. Designed to be a tribute to Ingrid Pit who sadly passed away in 2010, the concept came off th...

Wow, just catching up with this one, what a superb result! Love the way you've echoed the colours of the box art throughout
and the addition of the lighting in the flames adds to the overall effect beautifully. I've got this kit in the stash and might be following your example!

Cheers,
Paul

Beautiful Job! I remember the nightmare of all that masking - I've now got a vinyl cutter that would have made short work of it! You're not coming to Smallspace this weekend are you? Many thanks Ant, I've been trying to get is as sharp as Gary's 2 footer over at Mooncrest! I did want to come to the...
