Oil Washes on Vinyl?

I'm building up the ol' Screamin' Leatherface vinyl kit. My question is, obviously enamels are a no-no, but can I use artist oils, diluted in oderless spirits without having a nondrying/curing problem. Specifically i would be using Turpenoid. Anyone have thoughts? This would be over a laquer primer ...

Need Help Sourcing Spraybooth Motors

Hey All, I'm in the process of building a custom spraybooth for both lacquers and acrylics. I am seeing if anyone on here might know of a recommended distributor to purchase either a 265 or 465 cfm motor. Specifically I would like to add a 465 cfm, but would go 265 if that's all I could find. I am b...

Painting Nameplates... Allsuive Link...?

Hey all, I had thought I had bookmarked the post whereby we've discussed the best technique on painting nameplates, the alcohol wipe-off. Tho I can't find it in my saved links, and despite a 20 min search for it, can't seem to locate it. Would someone be so kind as to remind this fool where that lin...

Re: Spider-Man - 1/4 Scale

Jeebers!!! While this is likely my fave spidey sculpt i have ever seen, that is so far beyond any remotely comfortable price range. Ugh. I would say, $350 would likely be pushing it. But, thank you so much for letting me kno. Ugh!! I love this piece. Once again, hats off to you lucky fellas who were...

Re: Diorama Iron man vs controller by Nimajneb

How on earth did you manage to support two figures and the iron bar with what looks to be such a small and single contact point???

Love the piece. Esp the foreshortened city scape below. The effect is incredible. Great work!!

Re: Engineering Zotz' AMAZING Sarah Kerrigan - A WIP

As usual, C. Joe's WIPS are in a league of their own. Truly inspiring and awe to observe. Thank you!! (Off topic, curious tho, where did you find that C. Lee pic? I have a library of his images and haven't come across that one yet. I could use it as I have Resin Crypts 1/6 as well as Blackhearts 1/1...

This turned out very nicely. Great job all around. Nice work with the WScenics materials, and big fan of the ceramic tile. Did the kit come with a nameplate or did you have that made? If so, were and how?
