Excellent paint up.I really enjoy that you brightened her palette up! I've had this one for years and it will have to get on the bench at some point.

Paul, you really did an amazing job on this! The stone eagle copies the one in the opening of the film perfectly. Now I want to re-do the eagle on mine!

Re: Julie from Return of the Living Dead III (NSFW)

Thanks to all, she was really a joy to paint and it's been awhile since I worked on a figure that had so many add ons, but that was part of the appeal to make everything work. Ant, get in there brother and finish yours up! Does anyone know who the sculptor was? I always like to give credit, but I co...

How large is it?
Thanks so much! It's 1/3 scale, so a good match with Mike Hill's Shapeshifters series or Paul Gill's.

Re: Duc de Richleau by Randy Lambert

Brilliant work Stewart as always! Really like the subtle skin tones (do you use pastels?) and the colours of the various clothing details and jewellery. The weathering on the base is the icing on the cake, must get back on with my Dracula build! Cheers, Paul Hey Paul: Thanks so much. I haven't expe...

Julie from Return of the Living Dead III (NSFW)

I've been trying to pull older kits first to get them completed, so this gem was deep in the pile form 1995! An Alternative Images release I had to have as I just love the character. Based on Steve Johnson's amazing character design for Julie (Mindy Clark), it was just a joy to work on and add all o...

Duc de Richleau by Randy Lambert

The Devil Rides Out (The Devil's Bride in the US), is one of my favorite Hammer horrors and gave Christopher Lee the opportunity to have a hero role for a change of pace. Randy's sculpt captures the Duc beautifully and this was a joy to paint. https://i.postimg.cc/XZNmfG7X/IMG-20240719-114045.jpg ht...

Re: Hammer Dracula 1958

Paul, this is looking brilliant and I'm so glad you were able to get the piece. With regard to the pinning, I recall adding the pins to the parts of Dracula's wrists/forearms attached to the bride. I painted Dracula and the bride separately and then attached her to Dracula and touched up everything ...

Love it! Love the rust and corrosion as a metaphor for the physical decay and corruption of Dorian Gray. No one sculpts decayed flesh like William Paquet! They are rendered in disgusting detail, but so beautifully (if that makes sense?!)

Re: Blackheart's Chris Lee Draculs by Joe Simon

Thanks one and all, I have a passion for the Hammer subjects and love to push myself to make sure the coloration and details are accurate to the films being represented. Blackheart's Chris Lee Draculs by Joe Simon

I had this big guy on the shelf for awhile and decided it was past time for paint. The sculpture is based from such an iconic scene from Hammer's classic 1958 Horror of Dracula (Dracula in the UK). All hand painted with acrylics and Liquitex grouches. Let's not forget some Freak Flex Hammer Red Wet ...
