It isn't complete, but what has me excited is I will finally have that vacuformed plaque again.
I remember having a couple as a kid, but so far all the partial vintage kits I have scored didn't have one.
The reissues don't have them, and when I talked to Jamie at WF about it, he seemed to have no idea what I was talking about.
I actually got it for a steal. With shipping and tax it cost me $36.
The box is crap, but I already have one, so that doesn't bother me at all.

With luck, I will be winning some more vintage plastic later this week too :o
I've wanted this kit since it was originally released in the 70s, but I could never find one in any of the hobby shops I had access to (that was before I was old enough to drive). Then I wanted to get the Lindberg reissue, but life's priorities got in the way and, again, didn't get one. Well, I'm glad I saw this thread because I just ordered one off of evilBay from a seller in Australia for around $40 US shipped. Now I just hope it makes it across all of that water.

Cool!
Glad you scored some cool kits.

I just scored a Polar Lights pteranodon last night.
I used to have 3 of them. Bought one when they first came out. Snagged the other two when they were selling for like $3 on clearance.
My daughter built the first one, and I ended up selling the other two when I cleared out a bunch of stuff before our move.
Now I need one as one of the guys that makes Prehistoric Scenes add-ons made a conversion for that kit to tie it into the line. So I watched for a couple months and finally found one for just under $30.

A Moebius Grim Reaper. I've wanted this for a while now but it never happened.
I've been watching this dude's channel since January and it finally convinced me to make the purchase. He does some pretty incredible work not only on figure kits but also cars, planes etc and his reviews and tutorials are cool as well. 8)

Oh yeah, he does lots of great builds.
I personally like the way he doesn't sweat the small stuff, and just cranks out the kits.
I often watch one of his builds of something before I tackle my own, just so I can get a good look at what I am in for.

*sigh* Never made it off of the Australian continent. Australia Post took possession of it, and that was the last time anyone involved saw it, so the seller issued me a refund. ](*,)

Well that sucks.

Maybe it's still out there somewhere and could still turn up - we all know of cases where things disappear for months and then unexpectedly arrive.

Fingers crossed it's THAT or that you find another one soon.

PS: At least the seller was honorable enough to give you a refund - hope he can claim it back from postal insurance.

I keep thinking about picking up an Eagle.
I love the design, but don't know if I would ever actually build it.

I know what you mean - I bought the bigger one when it first came out and it's still in the box - I don't have room for it and I doubt I'd ever build the smaller one either if I bought it.

I went a bit vintage on an eBay run. Scored 1/48 scale Testors kits of their hypothetical "F-19 Stealth Fighter" and "Mig-37B Ferret-E Soviet Stealth Fighter."

Congrats.
My only recent styrene was another Animal Pit that I got really cheap, and just paid for my preorder on the Metaluna Mutant from Cult.
I should have just saved the shipping and bought it at WF, but I did preorder it, so I felt obligated to follow through on that preorder.

Scored a Lindberg Jolly Rodger Escape the Tentacles of Fate, aka, Freed in the Nick of Time. This is the one with the octopus which I never had back in the day so I'm happy about it as this one completes my collection! 8)

Cool. Both are good scores.

Suppose I should mention, I didn't walk out of WF without some styrene. It was iffy, didn't find something I wanted to buy until over halfway through Sunday.
But I found a PS armored dinosaur with resin base for a good price.

There were some cool kits, but for more than I was willing to pay.

My most recent purchases haven't actually been kits, but they are vintage styrene.

I scored a few Aurora test shot parts for PS kits.
