So, what cool styrene have you scored lately?

#1 Post by tay666 »

Thought this would be a fun thread.
A way for us to brag a bit about recent scores etc.

It's not as much fun, when you find a cool kit, but don't have anyone to tell.

I'll kick things off with some of my most recent purchases.
All are a little off the beaten path for me.

Last night I got these 2

Not really figure kits, but they do come with figures.
I loved the anime, and was kind of interested in the kit when I saw a build-up done here on the CH. But never really followed up on it. Until I found these last night quite by accident. I was watching some items by a seller, and found these in his listings too. Ended up losing out on the 3 kits I was originally going to go for, but got both of these. So a nice consolation prize.

Earlier this week I also snagged these 2 cool little kits.

They're prepainted, but I plan on painting them myself.
I like anime kits in general. So, even though I have never seen this one, the kits are cute, and they were cheap, so I snagged them to have some fun.

I've been on a bit of a roll. Because I have also recently grabbed
3 vampirellas
4 kogars
1 glow witch.

Been finding some really cheap prices and I just couldn't pass them up.

Im currently doing the bride and monster on the couch kit and Wonder Woman which are two awesome styrene kits. Also while waiting for the new 1966batman kits i have the pirate kit to nibble on. An excellent time to be a styreje modeler. Better than when we were kids and got hooked in thr first place!

It's a pretty nice kit. Lot of new parts. I need to do a 1-to-1 comparison with the last issue to see the extent of the changes and additions.

Yessir, that's where I got the most enjoyment when I started back into this in 1999.... So that's where I'm going to concentrate
most of my building this time around. 8)

I can understand that.
They are fun. Fairly inexpensive, which means it's not such a big deal to try customizing or repositioning, as there isn't that much on the line.
Plus, with the selection available now, your head will spin.

Thanks Mark,

I also forgot that I did get the Scotch Lad as well. I'm not sure that my skill level is up to painting the tartan patterns on him, but I'm going to practice on some scraps first.
