I think its a retool from an existing kit, not the original tool. Like what Moebius did with the moonbus.

But at $40 I couldn't pass it up.

There was no original kit.
There was only the acetate prototype. Somehow Phil had molds made.
Not sure if Atlantis got those molds, or had their own made. My guess is they bought Phil's molds.

Ahh!

Things makes perfect sense now.

Atlantis's web site says its a new tool. I had assumed that Aurora had cut the tooling but never released the kit and Atlantis acquired a test shot that they back doored the tooling from.

Thanks for the information!

Looking forward to having him in my collection.

I just got a response from Peter at Atlantis this morning.
He said they are hoping this arrives in stock in the next 10 days.

It's listed as "In stock" on the Atlantis web site. I got an email a few days ago saying the pre orders are shipping.
So far nothing from CultTV.
