The Mutant's back down to $64. Godzilla's up to $139. Can't help but notice neither is sold out yet.

Yes, that's me being pissy.

The Mutants price flutuation esp. I paid big money initially since they were limited due to "broken" molds. Oh well......................

I doubt that. You don't injection mold 'on demand'.
Not when it takes at least an hour or two to put a mold in, and get it set up and running properly. And you can probably run between 80 to 200 kits per hour depending on how low they can get the cycle time down to. 15 seconds is plenty of time for styrene to set up in the mold to be ejected, so it mostly depends on injection speed, injection pressure hold time, and how fast you can run the ejectors.

Yeah. I am sure he has a few thousand of each. Anything less than that, just doesn't make any sense with injection molding.

And the reason I don't own either yet. I have not interest in a Mutant that is more than $50, or a Godzilla that costs more than $80.

Not sure your aware, several Ukrainian companies are doing runs of 500 of styrene kits. It’s possible it could be short runs like that.

Todd pulled this up on megahobby.Roden at MegaHobby.com
www.megahobby.com/brands/Roden.html
Roden is a plastic model kit company based in Ukraine. They produce high quality plastic model kits of military models and model aircraft. Their subjects vary, from American planes, to German military vehicles, to civil aircraft. Roden kits are for intermediate to advanced modelers and are great to try your hand at new, unique modeling subjects.

I don't know the guy but I think he took a lot of people for a ride. I think the only way those Godzillas will be off the market before 2023 is if Toho comes after him.

If you think that the price is high now, watch what happens to it if Toho DOES come after him...

True. But neat as it is, to me the kit will never be worth more than half what it's listed for. To each his own, of course.

There are some really crazy prices that people are paying.
Not only the Godzilla and Mutant that he is selling.
But MOTM Creature that Moebius put out is in the $100 range.
Along with Moebius reissues of Vampirella and Frankenstein from the MS lines.
Just a couple years ago, those kits could be had for like $20.

Stimulus money?

We do indeed seem to be experiencing a price boom on collectible styrene.
