POTC Kits....

#1 Post by Glusniffer »

Sup guys? Couldn't find a thread but two more are available from Amazon. "Condemned to Chains Forever" and "Fate of the Mutineers". Scored both! Arrrr! :argh:
Jeff doesn't follow directions.
Jeff doesn't pay attention.
Jeff doesn't use time wisely,
Jeff doesn't play well with others......

Didn't realize there wasn't a thread.
I snagged mine at WF this year. Cult has them all at nice low prices also.

And for those searching the net for them, look for the Jolly Roger line.
That is what they are calling them. Branded as Lindberg kits.

The next 2 have been announced!
https://culttvman.com/main/round-2-news ... PMXciJ16aM

That brings the total reissued up to 5. Which only leaves 1 or 2 more.
Depends on if you count Ghost of the Treasure Guard which was just a combination of 2 of the other kits.
To actually build them all, we just need Freed in the Nick of Time.

I love that these are back on the shelves again, just a little sad that they didn't do the vacuformed wall plaque that used to come with some of them.

You are welcome.

I was having trouble trying to remember what was out, and what wasn't.
So I wanted something I could do a quick visual check with.
Figured others might be in the same boat.

I just saw that announcement - pretty cool. I never though I'd see any POTC kits reissued much less all of them!

I have the first one started - been that way for well over a year. I have the rest - just have to pick up the last 2 when they come out. Maybe I'll get the first one done in 2020!!

I may take inspiration from Rob Mattison
He just slapped one of these together and painted it over the weekend.
Didn't bother with the rubber bands or worry much about seams.
Looked great too.

In case anyone wasn't aware, all the Pirates kits have been reissued now.
Some of the first ones that came out are getting hard to find.

None of the three hobby shops in my area has "Hex Marks The Spot" (originally issued as "Dead Man's Raft" by MPC). I asked one of them to order it for me but his distributor said that it was "unavailable". Does anyone's local hobby shop have it in stock?

I sent Round2 an email some time ago (early December) asking if there were plans to re-release "Hex Marks The Spot" but I never heard anything back from them. Do they normally reply to emails?

I notice that "Hex" consistently sells around $50 if and when it shows up on eBay so I would suggest that anyone that wants one, and can find it locally, get it.

Well, a bunch of sellers on ebay aren't going to be happy.
R2 is doing another run of the Hex Marks the Spot kit.

So, if you were thinking about paying the $100+ asking price these things have now, wait a little while and get one cheap again.

Has this been confirmed by Round2? I've seen it on Cultman's list of upcomings but I haven't seen/heard Round2 mention/say anything.

If it has been confirmed when can we expect to see it?

Thanks.
