Hmmm, wonder what's coming now. Hopefully good things. Sure would hate to see Round 2 get lost in the shuffle!

Best of luck to them.

The thing is what can they reproduce in plastic kit that hasn't been done.
Now that Atlantis basically has almost every mold of mpc aurora revell and many more.
What is so-called investment going to do make polar lights a more productive company?
I read the press release .. I don't trust investment firms..

Well I'm sure it has to do with getting more working capitol. Hopefully it will mean more money for new tooling. Still has to split it between slot cars and die-cast though.
At least it wasn't a complete buy-out so there is hopefully some input they can give.

MPC is part of Round2 not Atlantis.
I saw they confirmed they have the Star Wars license.
They can now repop the MPC/AMT catalog of Star Wars models and hopefully release some stuff in a larger scale than Bandai. A 1/48 A, B, and Y wing would be very welcome.

Hmmm.. Bandai yes most likely.. MPC is pretty shotty by todays standards..
Any buy out of any kind means your loosing money..
I have no interest in slot cars or diecast cars..
I think they have Amt..?

I wouldn't say that.
Pretty sure their reissues of the Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion kits are doing well. Otherwise they wouldn't continue to release them.

Lot of stuff actually - who knows what molds they have still. Plus they are repairing some as well to release models. I look forward to what new tooling may be coming in the future with the new influx of cash.
A lot of people are still nostalgic for the old Star Wars stuff - a lot of it is pricey on eBay, plus you don't know what you are getting either till it comes and you have a part here or there missing.

Old cars, planes, etc. are perhaps still of interest to people. Not scifi/horror/fantasy but might sell well.
