Perhaps its time to spread the word on the Facebook Group site(s)? Get some of those wayward sons to log back in here and pony up?

If they wanted to be here, I'm sure they would be, though.

Man, do they still have that?!?
Move over snowshoes, moose, lumberjacks, beer, canoes, maple syrup... Canadian Tire money is truly quintessential Canadiana

Must have been before my time - I thought you just meant the pretty coloured notes we have in legitimate circulation  (we used to lovingly call that "Monopoly money").

Canadians (and pretend ones like me) are taking over the thread! :)

That is my feeling as well.

We’re 4 days further in, and we have another EIGHT heroes to thank.

The latest donation brings us to a CLEARED total (I.E. total after subtraction of PayPal fees) of just over $1,500 =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

Wee bit of bonus praise to Scott for donating while on his sick-bed (it had nothing to do with me threatening to send Jason round in that nurses uniform - honest) viewtopic.php?f=4&t=122438&start=318

I'll post an official "thanks" later for the most recent batch of donations (to the folks who posted on the thread + those that didn't) - but wanted to point out NOW that we're getting bloody close to that $2,000 mark.

Love you people :cloud9:

Another 4 days and another EIGHT members whose generosity has added to “Ye Olde Bank of Clubhouse”.

The latest donation brings us to a CLEARED total (I.E. total after subtraction of PayPal fees) of $1,950 :thumb2:

Not too friggin’ shabby guys!

Also – for those that hadn’t realised – we’re now TWENTY years old! viewtopic.php?f=4&t=123309

For those who are intimidated by the large amounts some members are contributing, I'll confess that I threw in 10 bucks. I figure small donations add up pretty quickly if enough of us pony up.

Todd brings up a great point.
We realize, that everyone is in different positions financially. There is no pressure.
There is no 'good' $ amount.

If you can't afford to chip in, that is fine. Especially these days where everyone's jobs are in flux.
If you can only swing $5 or $10, that is awesome. Every little bit helps, and covers our hosting that much longer.
I am just amazed at how much we have raised so far. The appreciation the members here show completely humbles me.

Since I don't know what Spike looks like this is the best I could come up with. I appreciate what he (and everybody) is doing here. Lot's of people working their butts off for the CH.

Very well put by BOTH of you.

I'll add this though - if you can, it would be great if you could manage even $5 . . . you have no idea how much comfort it gives everyone (in a strictly non-sexual way  ) to see another member add ANYTHING to the funds. It shows you care enough to HELP - and THAT is what matters.

We've so far had 33 people contribute. That's about a THIRD of the number that contributed in 2018, and (coincidentally) we're at about a THIRD of the total raised back then.

We've lost a few of the heavy-hitters from 2018 (several that donated $100 or more), but there have been folks who didn't have the opportunity to donate THEN that have NOW stepped up - newcomers and oldies alike.

Also - remember that if you don't have a PayPal account, just PM Trev and he'll sort out a solution for you. Cheque, barter or body part - most anything will work for us.

PLEASE make the effort - and if you're friends with others that you think could help - please give them a nudge for us.

LMAO =D> =D> =D> - I appreciate the comparison with Mr. Lewis (more for the humour and "cajoling" than any other possible connection :) )

Thanks bud.

I suppose that makes Trev the "Dean Martin" of the double-act?

I don't have money to contribute. Even the casting work is dried up thanks to printing. I would offer a kit but if they don't sell for I doubt it would for you either.
