I was really looking foreward to having flipout.. I have idea whats going with Atlantis..?
I noticed there releasing some things in my opinion nobody wants
giant amobea science kit? who wants that? and few others thing I question..
Maybe the molds are damaged ? that could explain it?
What I seen on there release list.. alot has been reissued over years..
Some things I see no demand for..
What's new in the Gallery?

I'm not certain but I suspect Atlantis's budget is stretched. It has taken a few chances with what it's put on the market.

Just spent a couple minutes finding photos of the kit. Honestly, I'm not surprised Atlantis is backing off. With all due respect to fans, I doubt there are a ton of hobbyists anxious to see this one reissued. After a chunk of the last round of Weird-Ohs ended up on Dollar Tree shelves, I'd consider it a big chance to run Fred Flypogger.
But y'never know what'll happen in 2022.

I think the main problem they don't good research of what to release..
Checking ebay auctions to gauge whats selling and whats in demand that is out of print..
World War 2 airplanes and ships etc is done to death..
There is no shortage... releasing diesel trucks is there demand for those..?
Yeah they got huge amount molds from alot companies under revel monogram..
But they should do better research don't over spend on things that likely are already out there
in big numbers..

Re: Atlantis no fredflypogger kits this year
There always huge resale market on those.. I seen tons at model scale shows..
Other sites model kit resale sites have more than I realized...
I think Atlantis gauges sales we hope... ... Sure figures on the bottom rung..
But don't announce beginning of year we will release this and that.. keep on release sheet months after that
I think Todd, hit the nail on the head they likely over spent there budget...
When the hobby shop I went to for years ago and now closed decades..
What left on the shelf was airplanes cars and ships even discounted they sat there.
The owner told me he had sell them on ebay took awhile.
The big thing is there enough people to keep atlantis afloat?
the glass is half full on that.

And yet, despite the Flypogger cancellations/postponements. Surfink, to the best of my knowledge, still remains on the list of "To Be Released" kits for 2021...We might see this one suffer the same fate as the Flypoggers before the year is out.Todd P. wrote:Just spent a couple minutes finding photos of the kit. They might have been better served to have released the two Flypogger kits and NOT released the majority of those Weird-Oh kits.
I'd be curious to know how Super Fuzz did sales wise when Monogram re-released a while ago. Anyone know?
