New styrene coming.

#1 Post by tay666 »

Just realized, we really don't have a catch-all thread for kits that are coming out.
So I thought I would start one. So, if you know about anything coming out that you think others should know about, give us a heads up.

First thing I want to mention is the new ArtBox edition of the Guillotine coming out from Cultman.

I've known about it for a while, and really liked what I saw of it at WF

But after watching Steve's latest video, I am really stoked for it.

I was browsing dealers this morning and read that Atlantis will re-release the Creature next year. No word if it will be the glow box but one can only hope! [-o<

Well 5hit! :x MegaHobby has the new Atlantis release but its the old Aurora long box and no glow parts either, But for $26.00 Imma get one anyhoos for my B/W collection. Guess I'll nab a Hunchback as well because I don't see that happening anytime soon either.......... Why don't we have the poop emoji? :?

With all their glow issues, I am willing to bet it will also be a glow box and kit.

I know back in September they were looking for anyone with original instructions.
They just got the licensing for the kits back in February. How fast do you think these things move?

Tentative release date is January 14, 2023 so hopefully not too long to wait.

No sign of Speed Shift though. I wonder whether his release is conditional on how sales of Super Fuzz and Flip Out go?

Just scored the Atlantis re-pops of Wolman and the Mummy in the glow boxes. Would by chance the above mentioned Drac and Franky be glow kits as well?

I contacted them about it.. They said the mold for that model is lost..
Unless somebody wants to lend there mint box one..
and make new molds I doubt it will happen.

That's interesting. Their press release announcing the Mouse Miller deal made no mention of the fact that Speed Shift was not going to be issued - for any reason. This would lead most people to believe that all three kits were going to be done.

The press release talked about the Flypogger kits in general with one of the guys mentioning that he was excited to see Super Fuzz back.

Bummer if that's the case wrt Speed Shift as I have no interest in reverse engineered kits...

Me too! I'm surprised that they haven't shown a full test shot yet. I hope it's not on the backburner...it's going to look great next to the PL Batmobile!

I really wish someone would find the molds for the old Lil Cash Box kit. I'd love to build one or two, but vintage ones are very rare and expensive.
