Re: The Last Of Us
I always wanted to play the game but I do not own a PS. Still debating if I am going to watch it all at once or as it is aired.

Watching the show, never played the game beyond the opening (not a gamer).
I did find this though (paraphrase) "I noticed they left out the scene where Joel dies 18 times in the first Clicker room, rage quits, and tries to return the game."

LOL
Hadn't bothered with it until this week, then caught up on all 3.
Have no idea how this compares to the game, but VERY impressed with it so far.
Yesterdays (E03) was mostly a "story within a story" that I thought was (for the most part) cleverly/nicely done, and was quite emotional.
Looking forward to the rest of these.

I found E04 a bit boring though.
Sure it'll pick up again.

K - after finding S01E04 a bit boring (per above), S01E05 was just SO damn depressing that I ALMOST gave up on this and stopped watching.
But then E06 was tonight and I stuck with it. It was . . . not sure what the right words are . . . it gave me hope. One of those episodes in a series that is the equivalent of chicken soup when you are sick. Loved it.

I forgot to post after S01E07 - which was a very well done "fill in the gaps" piece. I really enjoyed that.
But I've JUST finished watching S01E08 - and OMG - DAMN was that intense
I think that was (for me) the best of the season so far - dayum that young lady can act!
Only 1 more episode to go in Season 1 - and I'm really going to miss my Sunday night viewings.

Re: The Last Of Us
My son turned me onto this show. I made it through the the 1st ep and almost the 2nd until I finally saw the 'Fungi' peeps. Meh. I'll just keep watching Dr. Pimple Popper.

Re: The Last Of Us
I appreciated the show a lot but never played the game.
Episode 3 mentioned above was unexpected and welcome. The final two episodes were memorable and at times quite grueling.
The design and make up of "the infected" is suitably hideous and very effective. As is often the case in this subgenre however, a lot more time is spent with the human monsters.
