Lots more reviews coming in - some of todays seemingly written either by grade-10 mentalities that have trouble stringing a coherent sentence together
OR by "pro" critics that may (cough cough) - I say MAY (cough) have been willingly influenced by the inept media furor surrounding Black's stupidity & Munn's misleading, self-serving statements.
There are also a lot of well-written reviews (pro and con) that make interesting observations.
We're looking forward to finding out for ourselves - good and/or bad.
TWO days (exactly 48 hours) to go !!

Some minor controversy attached to the film. It was found that one of the lesser known actors is a convicted child molester . He only appeared in one scene which has been deleted from the final print. Small loss I say.

You might want to read the thread
We can't have people round these here parts mixing facts with exaggeration - we're not Fox, CNN or MSNBC (or Olivia Munn for that matter)
The latest reviews I’ve read are from several people I actually trust – fans of the franchise rather than comments from the trolls that have popped up all over social media & on some forums.
Seems it’s far from perfect (much like Shane Black & Olivia Munn’s decision processes then) – but is well worth seeing.
Todays TV spot was a parody of car commercials . . .

He pled guilty a guilty plea to a lesser charge is same as a conviction, just less paperwork and a shorter sentence. I suppose the rubbing- touching- kissing- hair pulling part (all or which is molestation) was not a factor in his plea deal.

Well we'll forget the sexual predator bit, not worth thinking on.
I just remembered a B&W illustrated story which I believe was in "Creepy" or "Errie"
Many years ago, decades before the first predator movie.
The story was set in South America and the creatures were not aliens but more like an unknown hominid or lost race that was totally adapted as man eaters. Similar to the beings in "Bone Tomahawk. The Artwork may have been by Moebius or Estaban Maroto, Perhaps some other artist with name beginning with M.
Thing of it is the appearance of these creatures , other than the head was both very distinctive and very much like that of the Predator Aliens. They even wore a net body stocking like garment and carried skulls and spinal cords as trophies on a belt. There were male and female creatures.
I don't remember much of anything about the story, not very memorable, but the creatures were very memorable.
A few years back a movie which IIRC was titled "Lost Tribe" had similar creatures on an island.
Does anyone else remember this story. I'm pretty sure it was not a cover story.
I hated it! ALL OF IT! Don't want a single collectible from it. I don't want to be reminded.
That ending line! That ending scene! Like a Power Rangers nightmare.
I want to throat punch Shane Black. This is NOT the way "resurrect" the franchise. This is how you put the franchise on the ground and take an industrial sized crap on it.
Well THAT was a fun ride - not what we've come to expect from the franchise - but certainly entertaining.
Lots of clever and interesting bits - along with several "what the heck?" moments that left us wondering what happened (in the script, to the plot, AND to the Director!)
Certainly had the feel of a movie that had been hacked a bit and then stitched back together, as some of the bits didn't quite join up.
The cast was superb (including Munn once you get past her "paintball gun scenes").
The loonies are AWESOME !!!!! - you really feel for all of them, which makes the final act (obviously was always going to be a showdown) a bitter pill to swallow.
By FAR the worst bit was the score whenever they re-used bits/themes from Predator & Predator 2 - unlike PREDATORS which made that work - it was TERRIBLE in this - used at the wrong times and in the wrong ways, as it immediately pulled you out of this movie and made you think of P1 & P2. Very bad decision. They should do a re-cut with that stuff swapped out.
Overall, it was certainly well worth the money and nowhere near as bad as some negative nellies have made it out to be. I'll be watching it again soon as some stuff just happened too fast to follow.
My Son & I put it above AVP-R and AVP, but below the other 3.
I'll post some more tomorrow (with spoilers obscured as I don't want to ruin anything for anyone).

Trust me - you won't
The cast definitely won me over. Even Munn was good - although I’d have preferred someone a bit more believable - like Katee Sackhoff or Claudia Black.
I've now seen it twice, and I'll try and get my thoughts (pro/con) posted later today once I can stop juggling ferrets.

You can never go wrong with Katee . If you haven't, yet, check out LONGMIRE.
