The hollow earth stuff didn't do much for me. If the movie explains what makes all that light in the center of Earth, I missed it.

I thought I saw something that I interpreted as the molten center of the earth that was emitting the light.
I never cared for hollow earth theories, and still don't, but recent imagery of the core of our planet has revealed that the core of the protoplanet that collided with Earth billions of years ago creating our moon and setting the stage for life on our world left behind some ginormous chunks protruding from our planet's core.
I'd always figured that core just melded with Earth's into a homogenous mass but apparently not.
What lies below Earth's surface is far stranger than we ever suspected.
Helena is here at hand;
And the youth, mistook by me,
Pleading for a lover's fee.
Shall we their fond pageant see?
