KONG GODZILLA

#1 Post by LOBOREX »

Had me squealing like a little girl. https://youtu.be/gBS6vaNFcx4
Helena is here at hand;
And the youth, mistook by me,
Pleading for a lover's fee.
Shall we their fond pageant see?
Lord, what fools these mortals be! -Puck

Ha! that was awesome. I got to say I was sold after that first punch to Godzilla's face and whatever Kong is using to deflect Godzilla's blast and slamming him with was the icing on the cake. Gonna have to invest in a hazmat suit because I want to see this on the biggest screen I can find. :jam: :jam: :jam:   :jam: :jam: (by the way we need a Godzilla and Kong emoji)

I can't wait :) There was a fantastic quote about the trailer on a newsite (The Guardian, uk newspaper)

"After the year we’ve all had, the act of watching the Godzilla vs Kong trailer was like getting a massage. It felt like someone had lifted your brain from the top of your skull and carefully dipped it into a nice warm bath. “I know things have been tough”, it seemed to say, “But here’s a film about two gigantic idiots whaling on each other for reasons that aren’t even slightly important. Nothing to worry about here. We’ve got this”.

In reality Kong can Kill Godzilla why? because Gorillas are five times stronger than men
Then you look at Kong... Rips off Godzilla tail and beats him to death with. it.

Seems like I'm finding new, short promos every day, with maybe one or two seconds of material I haven't already seen. And it's enough to keep me looking for more. Today I saw one showing Kong in a net, being flown over Antarctica. Another nod to the original, which I enjoy.

Right now, the plan is to see it in the theater. No HBO Max for me.

Even before the pandemic, the local theater was usually less than half full for any given movie. I doubt I am going to have any issues socially distancing.

Oh - I've seen what you look like - I'm sure people avoid you for the same reason they avoided me! (* but then those theatres can get pretty dark! *) :P

This'll be a "home watch" for me & mine. I'm more of a Kong fan than a Godzilla fan (even more so due to the "recent" movies), but I'm hoping this is handled well.

I am more a Godzilla fan, but man I do love Skull Island.
That movie had me rooting for the gorilla from the first time he hit the screen.
And I have a feeling I am going to be rooting for him in this movie too.

But, one way or another, I have to see this movie on the big screen.

I think I have my solution since I couldn't find a hazmat suit in my size. Hyde Park Drive In, large screen check, sitting in my car with me best girlie check, big giant tub of popcorn check, large box of raisinets check, couple of hotdogs with the works check and finally a family size bottle of pepto bismol check.   :puke: :jam: :jam:
