Full Custom Garage

#1 Post by barad_dur »

If you like kit bashing and also cars , I highly recommend the tv show Full Custom Garage on motor trend tv.

Ian Rousel does to cars what many of us do with model kits - creates unique one of a kind works of art.

There is no contrived drama on this show, the guy is just totally zen no matter what setbacks he faces.

And close to my mindset is that the has no problem totally reworking cars he did in the past , or taking a few steps back and drastically changing the direction if the car/truck is not fully meeting his vision.

The title of this thread had me thinking you were taking your 'bashing skills to your own garage .... which looked pretty sweet already in those photos you posted a couple of years back! :drool2:

A car show with no contrived drama? Count me in, didn't even know that was possible.

Love your garage. I sure would find lots of excuses to spend lots of time there...

Yes, surprising but true, the primary focus of custom garage is in his work. Check it out.

Thanks!
Oh yeah, When not kitbashing, I spend lots of time in garage, that’s why there is a big fridge in there too 8)

Hah, Thanks, and the plate on my daily driver truck is “nazzgul”

The nazzgul plate used to be on the Monte ss, but I changed it over to my truck when I put antique plates (can not customize them in VA) on the ss.

I went to antique plates on the SS so I do not need to get the car inspected, which enables me to removed the catalytic converter and now I have true dual exhaust with my 383 engine.

I am HOOKED ON THIS SERIES!

I just discovered it earlier this year, on re-re...runs, and it's quickly
become one of my TOP TWO car shows.

I REALLY like how Ian breaks everything down, showing the steps he takes
to make his conversions. Also, I like the emphasis to give the viewer a blow-by-blow
detailed look into the conversion steps.

Several of his shows have started inspiring me to go out and try to do a model car/kit bash of my own!

His down-to-earth nature, along with his inclusions of his two "Shop Inspectors", (his dogs) helps add to the character of the show.

Full Custom Garage is a really nice break from some of the more traditional TV shows out there.
Keep the glue and paint flowing, take care and stay blessed!
