I stumbled across this on YouTube today, and thought i would see what everyone else thinks of it?

They remind me a lot of Halestorm, only not quite as good. I did like them enough to check out some of their other songs, and what I've heard so far has been promising.

They're not bad, but don't really grab me.

I remember checking them out back when they were touring with Halestorm and Lita Ford.
Thought the same thing then too.

Ahma gonna give this a big "no". These guys have been going for what - nearly 40 years now? - and there's maybe 3 of their songs I can actually listen to.

It's just a wall of noise to me - maybe I'm getting too old for this **** Image

Oh yeah - THAT got the old arm hairs moving.

Love the bluesy voice (the lady has some range!) and love the song :jam: :jam: :jam: - another track that would have made a great Bond theme.

Thanks for that Mark! :thumb2: . . . bookmarked for future playing AND to remind me to do some more research.

Trev - that's it - game over . . . the divorce agreement is in the mail - please send it back by return post Image Image Image

You're very welcome! I've found several more of their songs that I like...enough that I'm thinking of buying a couple of their CD's. You're right about the James Bond thing...this songs screams to be part of a movie soundtrack!

Nah, not too old.
There is a reason they never took off like Metallica.
I think I really like about a dozen songs total. (I should probably make a playlist one of these days)
That said, I still like to give them a listen when they put out new stuff, hoping they might recapture the magic of the early days.

New single from Disturbed. Heard it on the radio today and have played it a couple more times since getting home.
Really catchy.
Hey You! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCGIj7KmwyI

Was also reminded of another song I don't think I posted.
I hear this one quite a bit on the college stations I listen to.

Giovannie & The Hired Guns - "Ramon Ayala"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYU6sZnK3UQ

I think Ian might like this one. It's more of a straight up rocker with a groove.

Ooooooooooo!
FB just let me know about a great new song.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDlGFbBipCo
Lindsey Stirling - Love Goes On and On feat. Amy Lee

I love it when two performers I really enjoy do stuff together.

I really liked all three, so thanks Trevor! To be fair, it would be hard for me not to like the Lindsey Stirling/Amy Lee team up. I've been a fan of both for years.

Yeah. Total agreement there.
I'm also a huge fan of Lindsey's colab with Lzzy as well.

My head would probably explode if there was ever a team up of all 3.

I am curious to hear Spike's reaction to the new one from Electric Callboy
FCKBOI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5IlvWbjJIA&t=0s

Personally, I love it. Reminds me so much of the early 2000's skater metal/punk. Which I actually enjoyed quite a bit.
The singer really has an Avril sound to the vocals.

Fastest reply ever ?!?!? :D

Hadn't received my "heads-up" on this since it's been a week since I last signed-on to YouTube.

Totally get the Avril Lavigne vibe. Not too bad - but I think it shows I'm too emotionally biased towards appreciating these guys . . . 'cos it's certainly not the sort of stuff I'd usually like.

It was good enough for me not to mind pausing the latest MCTV episode just before the end though - so thanks for the nudge!

. . . case in point - just SO EFFIN' upbeat/enthusiastic/energetic/POSITIVE !!!! :D  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bH6ImiABoDo

Just look at that audience movement at 3:25 - and this was in BERLIN with a GERMAN audience !!!!!!!! (way to go guys!) :jam: :jam: :jam:

Saviors of the planet given the negativity & division in the world these days? (maybe), damn good fun? (without a doubt!) :bgrin:

Yeah, I thought you would like that 2nd one. You always enjoy the straight ahead rockers.

Speaking of which, here is a combination of 2 thing you love. A rocker, covered by Halestorm
Still of the Night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F31A5jpIru4

I know it's 6 years old now, but for some reason it's getting a lot of play on one of the college stations I listen to. I've been hearing it like 3-4 times a week this month.
Also, it sounds sooooo much better on my car stereo.
Much like the Maiden video for Writing on the Wall, the YouTube audio compression really takes a lot of the life out of the song.

Yeah, I sort of remembered it coming out but I think there was a bunch of other stuff I was listening to then. As I didn't remember it well.
So, when I started hearing it on the radio, it was a nice chance to give it the appreciation it deserved.
