Powerslave
Stranger in a Strange Land
and two different interviews. One of them is saw shaped.

This got me to thinking, I really should work on that section of my site. I still don't have any of that stuff up on there yet.
I was wrong, I have 3 interview picture discs. And this discussion did get me to finish that page after all these years.

Nice! 8)

And MAN do I remember that crazy light-up costume Bruce wore on the Somewhere In Time tour :D :thumb2:

I've never seen much video from that tour - and seem to remember them saying they didn't do official stuff #-o :-k

From what I remember, all the stuff they shot from that tour didn't turn out well. I heard they shot video from a lot of the shows, but for one reason or another things didn't come out well.

It was probably that outfit - Bruce moaned about it constantly on the tour & in the press - said it was always breaking down.

Worked fine at the Birmingham Odeon gig though (all THREE nights) :D

And ALSO from the previous page  http://theclubhouse1.net/phpBB3/viewtop ... &start=134

I forgot to post that THIS wee beastie had turned up a couple of weeks ago. The seller added yet more happy memories to go with the ones already associated with this album.

Yeah, no.

Too expensive, and I already have garage kits of these exact subjects and poses.

Speaking of too expensive and I already have most of them in GK form, there is another kickstarter for licensed miniatures.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ko ... collection

I wouldn't mind the Powerslave diorama, or the Stranger bust, but 1/12 is too small, and the price is way too high.
$70 + shipping for a 3" tall bust, no thanks.
It's a shame too, because they did manage to give him some attitude with some of the sculpts.
I'd pay that much for something twice the size, or even better, quarter scale.

  • 1) I have John's (raydrz) paintup of the GK "Powerslave" bust, so NOTHING will ever REPLACE that in my heart, but I may get the bust depending on price.

    2) I ordered the "Trooper" statue about 30mins after seeing the original notification - my Son claimed this as a bit of a graduation present  (15% paid as NRD, I'll worry about the rest next year :) )

    3) I'll go look at that new link you shared in a few mins (ta) . . .

    4) Also preordered this (pic below) last week and forgot to post about it  https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/ ... ils/241087

Right - just checked the link (with Son peering over my shoulders) . . . we agree - those are VERY nicely sculpted but overpriced for the size. We'll pass too.

Hope these are officially licensed  - he's up to 150 THOUSAND EUROS pledged ! :shocked2:

Latest addition courtesy of a rather large BBTS delivery earlier today.

Knowing how much you adore the album Trev - I'd considered sending you your own copy as a surprise gift - but then I re-considered  :)

I don't hate Senjutsu, I just don't find most of it interesting.
I like it better than AMOLAD and FF, so that puts it in the middle of the pack for this century.
This just made me realize, the band has only put out 6 studio albums in 23 years.
A bit slower than the 7 they put out in the first 10 years.

Yeah - the bust is now up for pre-order - $350 USD is pretty good these days for a licensed prepaint that 12" tall - and I love the detailing on the base.

Ordered. I told the Son that if HE's getting a graduation present - I should too :rolf:

That does look really nice.
I wouldn't pay that much for it, but I am also not a prepaint collector. As nice as they look, I want to paint it myself.
I too have the 1/4 scale garage kit, and really like my paint up of it, so I don't even feel the need to have another of this particular incarnation .
But I am glad that you are getting one.

I hear ya, but since I'm a collector & not a painter - it's perfect for me. Horses for courses.

Dude - you HAVE to add a link when you post things like that :D . . . I know, I know . . . I'm perfectly capable of finding it myself . . . but I spend long enough adding pics & URL's for folks round here - let me sit back and enjoy instead :)

I'm adding EXTRA justification (for when the Wife raises an eyebrow all the way to Alaska) in that me & the Son are not seeing them on this tour - that's a fair chunk of the purchase price achieved right there! 8)
