I just realized, I never posted the song I have been listening to repeatedly since it dropped on YouTube.

Seether - Dangerous

Something about this song just hooked me. I play it at least a couple times a day, and it still hasn't gotten old.

Yeah.
Sadly, life tends to do that.

(way too often in my opinion)

I'd probably agree 100% as well - but I'm too busy to do the math.

I had heard a couple of Bruce Dickinson's solo tracks over the years, and wasn't impressed.

Today is apparently the 22nd anniversary of his 5th solo album - "The Chemical Wedding" (released Sept 15th 1998).

BW&BK kindly brought this to my attention, and on a whim, I clicked the link they provided to one of the tracks - "Jerusalem" (sort of appropriate given current news events).

AMAZING - loved it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0yR7H1NSqI

I'm going to make a point of listening to the rest of this album and some of the others too.

You are in for a treat.

There are some real hidden gems in Bruce's solo work.
You are right though, there are others that are like . . . . . huh.

On that particular album one of my favorites is 'Book of Thel'

Anyway, I actually followed Bruce's solo career, more than I did Maiden in the 90's.
I just like his stuff better.
I still listen to the Tattooed Millionaire album fairly often. That cassette got a lot of play for me in the 90's. Favorite song of course was 'No Lies'

Balls to Picasso was a bit of a let down for me. Sure it had 'Tears of the Dragon' and '1000 Points of Light' but the rest isn't very memorable.

Skunkworks really didn't do much for me at all. There are a few tracks that aren't bad, but nothing grabbed me at all, and I wouldn't recommend anything from it (so, you'll probably love half the album :) )

After that, Accident of Birth was such a breath of freshness. Even the stuff that didn't grab me, were still fun to listen to. It's a nice consistent album that is great to just listen to from beginning to end. I think the best track is the title track. It has a great driving pace to it, that just draws me in. 'Darkside of Aquarius' and 'Road to Hell' are a nice 1-2 punch also, and 'Arc of Space' is a great closer.

Chemical Wedding has lots of interesting track to experience and explore.
IMHO the pinnacle of his solo career.

Tyranny of Souls probably hasn't gotten the attention from me it deserves. Maiden was back at this point, so I had BNW and DOD to listen to and take my attention.
Mostly the songs all sound too similar for me to really pick out things from each song to enjoy. I know the one that I loved at first listen and still gets rotation in my playlists is 'Abduction'. I really want to like 'Navigate the Seas of the Sun' but I feel it was done better when 'Tears of the Dragon' was released.

Thanks for the opinion/rundown - I'll let you know when I've had chance to wade through them.

Oh man, this reminds me so much of something, but I can't put my finger on it.
The lead guitar and vocals really makes me think of someone.

Besides that, this sounds like it would be perfect for an 80's Sci-fi movie soundtrack.

Sort of a cross between FM and Survivor.

It was chosen for the coincidental appropriateness of the title though :)

I effin' LOVE this band.

Phil Campbell (you old Walish-speakin bastard) - thank Lemmy you kept going mate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!    =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

More energy, talent, ingenuity and self-deprecating humour in any 10-second burst of EITHER of these new tracks than in the entirety of that boring new single AC/DC just released (* yawn! *)

Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons (no relation)

New album out Nov 13th 2020. FINALLY something good happens in 2020 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIRTY YEARS since the release of the final album Scorpions recorded with the CLASSIC lineup, and the last decent thing they would do for 14 years! (until 2004's "Unbreakable").

I remember everything that was going on in our lives when this came out - it's like it was yesterday.

From "Crazy World" - my fave track from the album - "Don't Believe Her" (that chorus is SOOOOOOOOO catchy).

This was a pretty good album.
I was always more partial to 'Send Me An Angel', 'Winds of Change' and of course 'Tease Me, Please Me' gets honorable mention. It's got some nice crunchy guitars, and a great hook, but man is it repetative.
