Roisin Murphy/Moloko

#1 Post by Renenee »

Hi all,

I thought I'd post in this forum too for a change and share my musical tastes with you 8) One of my favorite artists off the last 5-10 years is a British pop group called Moloko. Regrettably they have split up now and the lead singer (gorgeous woman, with an equally beautiful and powerfull voice IMO) is now solo. Her Name is Roisin Murphy and she makes a kind of pop music which I can only describe as Jazzy-funky with electronic influences (the music is hard to categorize). This might not be up the alley of all you rock and metal lovers out there, but you might wanna give it a chance. I recently saw her perform live here in the Netherlands and she was great. She just released her second solo album: Overpowered about half a year ago. I highly recommend it.
