Tec question. Mac to PC

I have an old EMac but the monitor went lonnng ago. I think I still have some files on it that I would like to retrieve.
is there any way I can connect it up to my laptop?

You should be able to remove the hard drive and put it into a drive enclosure then plug that into the laptop and read it. You will probably have to use a program like HFSExplorer or MacDrive to mount the drive. Once that's done copy the data to the PC.
