OK. Here's the idea: There are many instances in the movies where an actor shamelessly "steals" another actor's famous character - and has success doing it. I listed one instance over on the other current off-topic thread, so I figured I'd give everyone a chance to give their nominations here.
Example: Fred Dryer (late of the L.A. Rams) "stealing" Clint Eastwood's "Dirty Harry" character lock-stock-and-barrel right down to the raspy drawl and lip snarl - for his role as the 1980s TV Cop "Hunter".
I'll begin: My favorite example (that no one talks about) that was obvious to me the moment I first saw "A Fish Called Wanda":
Kevin Kline (who would - bizarrely - win an Oscar [WAIT- WHAT??!!!?? Yes, he really did] for his comedic portrayal of the angst-ridden bad guy "Otto". I have often wondered if Steve Martin (whose comedic angst-ridden character Kline was CLEARLY ripping off 110% ever called him to ask for his Oscar back!).
Your turn ...
