The Beacon of Amon Dîn (The Lord of the Rings)

#1 Post by csoldier »

For any fans of Tolkien's works, a small diorama titled The Beacon of Amon Dîn. The figures are 32mm Mithril Miniatures and the building is by Table Top World, animals are Pegasus Hobbies Farm Animals (apart from the dog which is also Mithril).

The scene is more from the book than the film (some knowledge is assumed) and depicts the beacon of Amon Dîn, perhaps at the point where Denethor has given the signal to light the beacons and call for aid from Rohan. The fellow running down the hill is sounding the alarm to his fellow Beacon-wards.

I don't really have much knowledge of the Lord of the Rings but I must say that your composition of the scene is very nice. Your recreation of the landscape features is so realistic.

Wow!
This is quite the cool bit of work.
So much going on, so many details. And it all comes together so cohesively.
The groundwork is amazing. So realistic. As are the structures snow.

You have every right to be very proud of this great piece.

Very cool job.

I never got thru the kook(s). The people often had more than one name, and then the names of people sound like each other, and then the names of places were also similar - so I never knew where I was or who they were talking about. LOL
