Continuing to refine the wings and the alien tubing details
May not look like it, but I have puts lot of work into smoothing out wing details and adding alien tubing.

Loosely attached the head.
I am pretty happy with new look, size and scale of the head

Roughed in larger and more (hopefully) dragon-ish chest and underbelly.
I left most of the alien-like rib cage, but I had to enlarge the size of the ribs.
Roughed in and started detailing new feet and claws.
Lots of clean up and some refining to do on head, chest ,underbelly, feet and claws.
Also still need to work on neck and permanently attach the head.

I'm getting a cool kind of raptor feel from this now.

I think that this bash will be a  .... wait for it .... waaait for it .... a SCREAM.

There is now a strong (this is NOT a critique) shall we say "cartoony comic vibe" to this piece. And I'm LOVING it. Its suddenly MUCH more interesting to look at. Go with that.

Thanks Trevor and B-A.
I sincerely appreciate the honest feedback.
B-A, Cartoony is not the vibe I am striving for, so guess I still have some work to do!
Thanks though!

:rolf: I am sure it will be suitably horrifying by the time you're done with it. That last demon you did was a real MoFo.

Threw on some paint just to see how it looks all tied together
Modified back of head to be jagged versus rounded
Still working the feet and need to refine the neck and lower underbelly

Looks suitably nasty in black ... the head still looks a bit cartoony to me in profile because its so elongated and thin. I would add some muscles/cheeks part way up the mouth and beef up the lower jaw and also where it attaches to the neck. (But then again, its your vision, so go with what moves you. )

Agree!
plan to add spike under front of jaw and beef up back of jaw with some spikes to be more dragon like.
Also plan to add the alien-like tendon between lower and upper jaw and add a tongue.
Thank you for your helpful feedback!

Cut the right leg off below the knee to shorten and slim down the middle leg segment.
Plan to change the angle of lower right leg to be more like left leg, so also cut off lowest leg segment and foot.
Slimming down middle leg segment of left leg.
Slimmed down neck.
Made the chest a little wider, still need to refine and smooth out the chest.
Added alien tubing details to forearms and shoulder arches.
Working on beefing up back of jaw and adding spikes.
Adding a tongue.

Now that is looking more dragon-like. I like the jaw work! Can't wait to see the new legs - does it balance on two legs yet?

Thanks B-A!
It’s not going to be able to balance only on two legs.
The extended wing segments I added are very heavy and vast majority of weight is behind the legs.
I do not want to have to use pegs in feet/legs and base to make it balance.
So I am going to slightly extend the tips of outside wing finger claws to touch the ground.
This will give it a very stable balance but I will have to use re-enforced wire in finger claws to hold the weight.

Roughed in the repositioned right leg with shorter and slimmer middle leg segment
Started sculpting new lower leg segment and slimmed down feet
Still Lots of refining and blending in to do .
Also slimmed down the middle of the chest and changed alignment to flow better into neck area

Changing the the chest as I did not like how the previous chest design looked from front view.
Will add high collar bones to better define chest
Continuing to refine lower leg segments
Changing hips, cut off hip ridges/spikes, will add larger sharper hip arches like the ones above the shoulders
Refining and thinning out shoulders and upper arms, adding more curvatures in both
Lots of smoothing out and blending to do after all these rough cuts and changes
As always, thanks to all who are viewing and following this bash.

Adding details to the under neck for symmetry with the lower underbelly armor
Added alien tubing to neck sides, and plan to make the neck sides have a similar design to tail
Adding hip ridges and spikes for symmetry with the shoulder spikes
Added mouth tendons, still need to refine these a bit
