Beautiful, imaginative, seamless ... just how many spare Medusa and Creature kits did you buy for all this 'bashing? :D

Thanks BA!

I have 4 Medusa kits; I built one straight up, and using the other 3 for kit bashes.

I have 4 shark hunter kits; I built one straight up, modified one, used arms and legs of one for a demon bash, and one unbuilt in the box.

Here are pics of how I am using them.

Started blending in where torso attaches to body.
Adding some spine nodules to back.
Threw on a coat of primer to see it all tied together.
Still lots of refining and blending of parts to do .

Working on blending the back and refining the nodules
Slimmed down wrists
Since the torso is an aquatic type creature , I am considering changing rattlesnake tail into a shark tail…

Great job blending the front & back.

Thresher shark tail could maybe work - if angled artistically?

Or even the sort of "tail" that various moray eels have (with the "fins" top/bottom).

Thanks Ian!
Yes, exactly, I was thinking thresher shark tail.

But the bash looks pretty cool as is, so I will most likely just finish blending and nodule work, and then paint as is.

Joe, before I forget: I will shortly be trimming down my collection, and my geometric harryhausen Medusa is one of the kits that is going to go. Are you interested? After all, you never can have too many of those if you know what I mean ... 😁

Making the nodules on the snake body much more prominent to match nodules on forearms and lower back torso.
Like this more gnarly look.

Here is a before pic where you can see how subdued the original snake body nodules are.

Oooooh! VERY good call. Turned a "plain Jane" snake body into something that catches the eye! :thumb2:

Gorgeous !!!

  • Glad you retained the original "Sandy Collora" head on this one - fits pretty much ANY "monster" sculpt you would want to kitbash (well - when it comes to someone with YOUR "across the board" talent anyways! :thumb2: )
