I started going in the fall of '98 when it was being held at the Meadowlands Hilton. I kinda miss the old days when there was more of a garage kit presence at the show.

So Dan, were you in the contest? Did I meet you and not know who you were? I am usually many drinks in by that time so everything becomes hazy model goodness! I did finaly introduce myself to Scott at ALT IMG, been talking with him for so many years and never realized who he was. Guinness will do that to you!

Well, I came away with only one kit, a bagged Geometric Cyclops that I bought from Terry Webb's table. Cost me 40 bucks and I think it's worth every penny! :) Also met fellow Clubhouse member Alan Fariello of Digital Realm Models-- a really nice guy with a great inventory of collectible kits! :)

I did get some autographs on Friday-- Ginger Lynn (who was very friendly and talkative), William Sadler (who signed my Demon Knight DVD), Nancy Allen (still beautiful at 60!), and Roy Thinnes (I had him sign the 1st and 2nd season DVD sets of "The Invaders").

Spent most of the day Saturday working in the model contest room, and handed off a head to Saul to paint for me for an action figure of Richard Dean Anderson from "Stargate SG-1".

All in all, I had a great time! :D

I only went in 2000 or 2001. Tons of kits. Unfortunately the hotel sold my reserved room to someone else but they provided a shuttle service to a nearby hotel. It was great but I had very little money to spend due to unforeseen circumstances. Tons of kits back then.
