Congrats guys on the awards

Jim, your Sky 1 was superb. I was working in the contest room and got to see it up close after the judging was over (I was the guy in the monster-themed Hawaiian shirt).

Dave, Your Kingdom Come Superman was terrific! I overheard one of the judges say that he didn't normally care for superhero stuff, but that he really liked your bust!

Marc, both of your winning figures were terrific, and the third figure (You, Teaser) just missed out on getting an award too! BTW, I was the guy who registered your entries at the contest! ;)

Thanks David. Were you the guy I spoke with outside with Buc? Or were you the guy I spoke to when I collected my model? I had many of those half glassfull shots they were serving up downstairs, and my memory is cloudy at best :alcoholic: .
There were a lot of great kits and I'm very surprised I won.

Here we go, boys & girls!
http://www.chillertheatre.com/c1010/chil1010.htm

Thanks for all the entries. Didn't get as many as last year,
but again the talent that did show up was pretty f'ing impressive!

New room wasn't the best, but the staff made it all work and seeing
all the CH gang was fun, as always!

Again, hearty thanks and congrats to everyone!

Model on! - Buc :)

Jim, I was the guy who spoke with you while you were collecting your model after the awards ceremony. I'll let you in on a little secret-- your model almost didn't make the cut, until one of the other guys working in the contest room pointed out it was a scratchbuilt piece. At that point, the judges took a closer look and you won!

Yeah it started out as the little Imai kit, and as I gathered reference pics I (painfully)realized pc by pc that none of the parts would do the job. Those white guns on the side almost drove me MAD! It took two years of work to complete (could have built a studio scale one in six months)and I'm glad someone noticed the hard work that went into it.Trust me, two years is a loooong build! A very big thank you to the judges. :D

Marc, The only thing you were lucky on was me not steeling that awesome monster of yours. If Buc would have stopped givin me the O-stink eye I would tossed that baby under my coat and been out the door. You nailed it bud, shame the lame-o who produced it couldn't show up to support you....LOL congrats on a well deserved award.
