G Fest Ifukube concert 2015!

#1 Post by plyometrics »

Hope this gets to park here. Last years live concert at G Fest was unprecedented AND amazing! Suites from all 14 of the G films Akira Ifukube scored. Received my Kickstarter bonus double CD of the show and it sounds incredible! This year's show promises to be a feast for any and all fans of Japanese monsters. Contribute now even if you aren't going to G Fest the recording you will receive will NOT disappoint!

I cannot rave enough about how incredibly beautiful the 2014 Ifukube concert experience was. Pure, 100% faithful to the Toho film scores, but LIVE! And EPIC! We are talking a big, full, professional, enthusiastic orchestra with a true MAESTRO in Mr. DeSentis as conductor.

Everything, and I do mean everything, that was associated with the endeavour was of the highest quality. The posters, glasses, T-shirts, concert program are all items to be treasured for years to come.

I am very, very much looking forward to the 2015 concert!

I couldn't have said it better myself! However there are only 12 days left and the Kickstarter mark still has quite a ways to go. Last year it was ahead of this kind of pace. If a few hundred people contributed $50 or less it will happen and I KNOW you are out there. Be a part of something cool and unique in this fandom. It has been well worth it!

36 hours to go and around $2800 short! Almost there but not quite. If you were on the fence jump off and enter the domain. This is such a cool and unique event and up until last year NOTHING like this had ever graced the shores of the USA. This year promises to be just as great. We can make this happen, but it has to be now.

The Goal was hit last night. The concert is funded! There are still 14 hours left to donate though. It will help cover costs of bringing composer Kow Otani over to the US, and YOU can still be a part of it. You can still get the rewards, the concert recording, and be a part of what is in reality an expensive undertaking. Very exciting! Congratulations to John Desentis and Chris Oglio. A job well done.
