G-Fest or Wonderfest - who's going?

#1 Post by tohoboy »

Anyone make plans for either yet? Due to work, I think I might have to fly to G-Fest this year, so I either need to figure out how to bring a kit on the plane, or pass on entering. Anyone else manage to get a kit through airport security intact? I don't want to ship anything (image of 800-lbs. gorilla jumping up and down on kit in box).

Wonderfest for sure.Probablly not G-Fest. I usually do WF every year and G-Fest every 3rd year depending on who's going to be there. If someone told me I could only attend one from now on it would definitely be Wonderfest even though my work gets a lot more appreciation at G-Fest.

I'll be at WF.
Not sure if I will have any G kits for the contest. But I might finally finish another.

I have already registered for my son and I to go to G-Fest, and got my room reservations. I have about 5 entries ready, I hope to have 9 or 10 b-4 July. I have never been to WF, but I think I need to limit it to one con, and it needs to be one I can drive to if I am bringing entries. It was good to see all of you guys at GF.

Fred, don't not enter! We want to see something! If nothing else. bring something small. The first time I brought anything there, it was an Image Baragon 2002 which is about 4" high. It was all I brought, no base or anything, and I was so excited to win a prize, I could not believe it! Don't you have a couple small kits you could carry on, or snuggle in your bag amongst socks and underwear? Of course, might not be so pleasant for the kit on the trip back, if you know what I mean...unless you stop at a laundramat!

Naw, I don't compete any more, and bringing something on a plane to put on the judge's table is too much of a pain. I'll just show up and be happy to see old friends.

Many of you may already know this but Matt convinced the organizers of WFst to seperate the dino/kaiju catagories so we would have are own seperate kaiju catagory. So obviously the more kaiju models entered the better.

Believe me bro you DON"T want to go to G-Fest and not enter a kit and be "that guy" standing around saying,"I make models too but did'nt bring any." [-X

I pretty much try to make Wonderfest an annual thing so count me in. G-Fest is a little harder for me but I'm gonna try to make it there too. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys and feasting my eyes on some amazing Kaiju buildups at the two shows.

LOL - Yeah I still have people in the Chi but I my wife and girls have other plans for my time during G-fest weekend. I'll let them have that but everybody knows not to mess with my Wonderfest weekend. :-)
