You were the very best friend anyone could have in this situation, thank you so much for keeping everyone on the boards connected with Ray through all of this. Sad, sad news.
I can't say it any better than this, so I will just quote Joe.

I'd say RIP, but if I know Ray, he's probably happy that he can get back to work without any impediments.

Safe travels my friend!

Tom, you've done a man's work sir, and it is appreciated more than you know.

My condolences to his family and you Tom. I'm so glad to know that he was able to stay in his home until the end. I know that had to have been a great comfort.

I only knew Ray through the CH. He was as much a part of this place as anyone. He was always there with a generous comment, a smart observation, or simply an enthusiastic acknowledgement of a shared love of the gods, monsters, and madmen that brought us here, this band of brothers and sisters, and it's hard to imagine him gone.

You will be missed, Sir. Happy trails from here on out.

I don't know what to say, I'm in shock. The last time I teared up was when my son was born. I really enjoyed talking to Ray over the years and I will miss him and his sense of humor. I'll also miss his complete positive attitude and enthusiasm for this hobby. Tom, you are a blessing! Rest in peace Ray, you'll be missed. :cry:

I only encountered Ray on this and other message boards. He helped me through a number of projects jams with great advice and sound guidance. His posts were ones I was most likely to visit and he will be missed.

Tom, I don't know you but I followed your posts concerning Ray's situation. You deserve kudos for taking good care of your friend and I'm sorry for your loss. He certainly will be remembered by you and many others. May he have the rest he deserves.

Goodnight and farewell Ray. And Tom you have behaved like a Man with a capital M, and more importantly a great and true friend.
Helena is here at hand;
And the youth, mistook by me,
Pleading for a lover's fee.
Shall we their fond pageant see?
Lord, what fools these mortals be! -Puck

Terrible news. Ray was always so helpful. He'll be missed, yet will live on in the work of those he helped.
