Sad news if you knew Hilber Graf

#1 Post by mjbare »

Sadly, Hilber passed away this past Monday, Dec 7. It appears that stomach cancer which wasn't detected before flaired up several days before it took him to heaven.

He leaves his loving wife, Rhea Leigh.

It's a sad day indeed, especially for the dio lovers in the CH. Hilber used to share some outstanding work! He'll be missed!

Hilber was a good friend and an outstanding modeler. He told me earlier this year that he had been diagnosed with cancer, but he wanted to keep it quiet. We will remember him for all he has contributed to our hobby and for the great friend he was to all of us.

You have to be kidding me! Very sad news indeed.
I always looked forward to Hilber's articles he did for Modeler's Resource.
Matter of fact his Aliens APC door crashing dio, is on my list of things I would like to recreate for myself. I went out and bought everything I needed so I would have it for the day, I could do it. I believe he did a Revell Futura to batmobile conversion article that inspired me to start one following his article. He was a true inspiration to myself as well as others. I was dissapointed when he decided to stop his articles in MR to concentrate on other stuff.

My condolences to his family and close friends.

Terrible news. Hilber was a true gentleman and a talented modeler. His articles in Modeler's Resource frequently inspired me.

I have one of the Aurora Creature replacement heads he used to give away. Man, I hope I thanked him enough for sending me that. I think I got the last ones before the mold fell apart.

I am deeply sadden by the news of his passing, Hilber was a great guy he loved this hobby and contributed so much to it and to the Clubhouse in it's earlier days. He was a diorama whiz kid.

Rest in peace brother

Hilber, aka Unccreepy, was a huge asset to this hobby. A former CH Moderator, an author, a diorama maker extrodinaire, and one of my many cyber-friends in this hobby. Rest in peace.

I always enjoyed Hilber's work in MR and remember his friendly and helpful contribution to this board. There is an art to the vignette and diorama that this gentle man had down cold. Godspeed.

Very sad news. I also remember Hilber from the early Clubhouse days and had a number of "cyber" conversations with him through the posts. My condolences to his family.

Definitely hard news to hear... Hilber was one of the early moderators in the Clubhouse and was always helping folks out with tips
when needed and spent a great deal of his time here even with everything else he had going on. I know he personally helped me
out with kit building problems I encountered on several occasions.

A true gentleman and gracious soul, I will truely miss him... My Condolences to his Wife and Family

This is just horrible. I had several cyber conversations with him over the years. I always enjoyed his articals in MR. When I think of Hilber, the term inspiring always came to mind. It always will. His kind soul will be missed. Wish I knew he was in poor health sooner. The Horne family is praying for his wife and family.

This is very sad news. I’d only met Hilber a couple of times but he was always very friendly and had a true lover for the hobby. He was also very talented. My most sincere condolences go out to his family and close friends.
