The Cavorite Sphere

#1 Post by Andy GB »

This is a very old kit .To be honest ive no idea who produced the Sphere , but the Diorama is made up of 80mm Metal figures from Stadden Studios and they were seriously converted. Despite being an old kit its still to be finished. Its a nice piece but if i had my time over I might try different figures.

And for those who requested more pics!

A very nice diorama very well executed right down to the geese, I wish these classic models were again available with the characters from the novel.

Superb! The weathering is fabulous and I like the broken floor. I like it a lot.

A creative aproach.

I just recently acquired the movie on DVD -- love those Harryhausen films. Your diorama with the sphere kit is very well done -- like it's straight out of the flick!

Very nice.
I was thinking of scratch-building one of these about the same size as my Warlords diving bell.

I can't second guess you on the figures.
But in my opinion, the whole, overall peice looks terrific as is.
You did a hellava job on everything!

Something you don't see very often! One of the Harryhausen films that doesn't get much recognition. You've done it justice for sure! I love all the detailing.
