The Monster Of Piedras Blancas Bust

#1 Post by Night-Owl »

Here is another finished project from the workbench; a bust of The Monster Of Piedras Blancas. This very nifty 1/6 scale piece was put out by Mark Brokaw a few years ago, not sure who the sculptor is.

Sweet! I particularly like how the base turned out. I think it was sculpted by Moto Sugai, to show what he had in mind for the BigHead, which he then sculpted.

Love it!

If you like that bust, check out the one that was put a few years ago from Resin from the Grave. They pop up on ebay from time to time

I just need to add some more details, so the proper people get the credit. Mark says Moto actually sculpted a rough version of the "head only" for a mock up and then Ralph Cordero turned it into a really nice sculpt with a cool little base. Ralph is the one that actually sculpted and designed the piece that was finally molded and cast.

So, Yay Moto, Yay Ralph and Yay Mark!

And of course, Yay Night-Owl!

Thanks for the kudos and the info aussiedave! Too bad Mark didn't make more busts in this style.
