That can't be it.
Moebius is still chugging along with figure kits.

Lots of people think it's a cash-flow issue since Round 2 bought the Lindberg tooling.

Kane has not been canceled...yet. I understand tooling costs and the like but tired of Round 2 teasing us with great kits and reissuing old stuff

I was looking forward to the Queen to go along with my FB Power Loader.. Wow what a major disappointment indeed, do we know why it was canceled.

No reason as far as I know.
Follows the other figures they have canceled lately.
Thor, Wicked Witch, Kong, and now the Queen.

Haven't heard anything about Kane yet. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Wow...really disappointed to hear this. I wonder if the company felt that the interest was not there and/or perhaps there are cash flow issues. Hope this is not the case. Do any forum members know anyone at PL?

Read the article with Jaime in the recent AFM, it sheds some light on the figure side of Round 2. Sales have been very disappointing on Wolverine and Superman, I'm sure that is a big part of it.

Well, that to me is because there are so many incarnations of Marvel superhero stuff out there, that one more model kit would not add much. Same with DC heros as well. Kong was cool and so was the Queen, but the Wizard of Oz witch and Cane were somewhat untouched.

I think we overestimate the size of the figure modeler hobby....there is not as much mass market appeal as other subjects. I talked to one of the LHS owners, who has a pretty successful shop (shocking in this day and age). Other than myself, and a few other regulars, no one else is buying the figure kits. Kids are buying Gundams, cars and airplanes.

I think you meant 'overestimate'.
Since we hang around with other figure modelers and talk figure kits all the time, it's easier to think this corner of the hobby is bigger than it actually is.

Well, there's always the NECA Queen and face-hugged Kane in suit figures coming out. And the batch for next year has Ripley and Dallas in space suits. I have wondered if the announcement of the NECA Queen is what killed the R2 kit. I'd have preferred models, but pre-ordered the Kane/Bishop/Alien-3 xenomorph set when I saw R2 cancelled the Queen.
