Thanks from the Jerseyfest 2014 Team !!

#1 Post by moonlightdrive21 »

Wow...felt like we just ran a marathon for 4 days. It's very gratifying when all the time and work results in a show that was appreciated by so many. Let us get right to it...the reason why Jerseyfest was great this year was because of the great vendors and the big team that helped plan, run and put on the show. It was a group effort and people from all corners of the hobby came together to make it happen.

Thanks to all the attendees from all over the world that made it to the show. It was a relief to hear that so many vendors and attendees were very happy with it. The turnout was great. There was lots of buying. :D

The new hotel was fabulous. The socializing was phenomenal. All the presenters and special guests were super great. The Academy classes and Stan Winston webinar on Friday were very well received and ran like a smooth machine. There were over 65 people in all the classes. The Saturday night "show and tell" parties had the same feeling that we had in the days when Jerseyfest was a party in a basement.

Very high quality entries in the contest room and lots of well deserved awards were handed out. A great turnout. Beautiful and inspirational work !!

Expect next year's show to be even better. We are already planning new events for it that will take it to the next level. We will likely either be back to mid September or late August in 2015. Keep an eye out for the latest news.

Pictures coming !!

Thanks!

I've said in other posts but let me say it again here. You all did a great job this weekend! The new venue was great....I loved that all the venders were in one room and it was plenty spacious for them too. The seminars were also informative and fun. Everyone seemed quite approachable and not at all snooty. Hopefully next year I'll be able to attend one of the Friday classes. Congrats to the whole team and I'm already looking forward to next year!

Thanks Dave (and everyone else) for all the hard work that you guys did. I do have one suggestion for next year though: NAMETAGS.

It was my first time there, and even though I knew some people from Wonderfest or various forums on the net, I did want to meet new people from the East coast that I might know by name, but not by face. So a nametag that people can fill out with their real or screen name would have been much better. Thanks again guys!
