His legacy with Peter Cushing is a horror fan's dream.
I am also glad he made the appearances into Star Wars, as he was really into our MonsterKid psyche .
Thanks Christopher for all the monster memories!!
Thanks for reminding me about the fan club, I was a member in the seventies and I still have the newsletters. Such great memories. Tonight will be Christopher Lee night in the Jackson house and my wife and I will raise a glass of wine to him as we watch one of his films (red wine, of course)

Sorry to hear this. Bummer for me that it happened on my B'day.

I love that guy.
So awesome in everything, no matter how cheap and crappy it was. His memory will live on.

Re: CHRISTOPHER LEE R.I.P
A great bit of Lee trivia is that he was the only relative of James Bond's creator to portray a Bond villain.scubasteve wrote: I never realized he was Scaramanga until just now.
Lee and Fleming were cousins.
As someone who makes a living from his voice I always admired the quality of Lee's.
Very distinctive with great power and delivery.
Instantly recognizable.

So sad to hear of his passing.
And so wonderful to see the glowing tributes you have all posted here.
There's nothing I can add, and I can only repost the BBC link already shared by someone sharper than I - http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-33098353.
What a legacy of amazing work the man leaves us.
Mate - you ruled - and always will!

Rest well good sir.

He was even great in his non-makeup roles like in The House That Dripped Blood. Happy he had a long life.
Stewart, your ability to paint model figures always astounds me. Everything I see you paint looks like a still from a movie. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much Tom!
Just wanted everyone to know TCM is doing a Christopher Lee fest on Mon. June 22nd. They also did this classy remembers vid. They rock in my book!

There's a line from El Conde Dracula, as Dracula relays his past to Jonathon Harker that seems to suit: "The shadows of my past remain here". Yes, Christopher and I am ever so grateful for those shadow plays.

He will be greatly missed, that's for sure. Should a periodic "coffin check" be done?
