Veins of Lust meets Celeste - The Vampire Huntress

#1 Post by AZ »

I purchased Veins of Lust, produced by Zotz and sculpted by Mike Cusanelli without the base. Then along comes Gabriel Garcia's Celeste, the Vampire Huntress. I needed something to justify Veins' look of fear, and Celeste's two large wooden stakes were just what I needed!

Wow! That came out very nice. You have done some great storytelling with the placement and expressions of the figures.
Beautiful painting, also.

Cool little diorama. Good idea. They're excellent.

I forgot to mention the base.
It really accents the scene with the groundwork and the figure placement.
Did you do the cutting and routing yourself? What type of wood are you using?

Thanks.

Yes, I did cut the board with a saber saw and routed it myself. At that stage, it was a bit rough, and it required some wood filler to smooth out the rough spots. I sealed it with a spray of shellac followed by light sanding before priming and applying the green acrylic.

The wood is poplar, purchased at Home Depot.
