My Caracolillo Bust

#1 Post by lorigrey »

Loved this from the moment I saw it. Repainted it like 4 times before I was satisfied.

I love the colors! Superb paint job! Is that a metallic gold on the spiral?

When you say you repainted it 4 times before you were satisfied with it, did you strip the old paint off or paint over it? I'm curious because I do quite a bit of repainting before I'm happy with the results, and have done it both ways.

That is mettalic gold on the spirals. I painted it twice and not wanting to lose any detailed, stripped it and started over. Most times I don't strip though.

She's stunning. Her face is superb, your 'make up' highlights and makes her even more beautiful.

I like the effect of the gold on the spirals and that blue is sensational.

A fabulous paint-up.

Wow! That's a beautiful choice of colors (I love the blue and yellow you chose) and an interesting read of the sculpt. I never thought of it to be like this and I really like it.
Thanks for letting me know about it!

Fabulous work, I'm yet to see anything but stand out work on these busts.

I think Abner should take some serious credit for this beautiful sculpt and how good he's making everybody's work look!

The colors you use bring the sea to mind and really remind me of a sea shell. Excellent job.

Beautiful work!
Everything looks fantastic, but I really love the subtle purple shades you used in the spiral.

Me thinks you painted it several times because it was so much fun. Great job. I gotta get one.
