Making bottles

#1 Post by kevtk135 »

I just saw this vid from a miniature maker that I find very talented. . In the vid she's making soda bottles, but the techniques could be used to make any sort of lab bottle -

Thanks for sharing this! Interesting, it's basically the heat-and-smash technique. I thought at the beginning, that she was making a mold to use to cast with clear resin.

I've messed around with shape clear sprue, too.

I have also been thinking about making drinking glasses, especially wine glasses. I can see using smash molding to do that. I have a ton of clear plastic sheeting, from things like packaging for dress shirts, to clear plastic packaging from groceries. I think it would work pretty easily, hmm.......

Yap, Tanya is the best source for such stuff! I have her channel in abo and every time she comes up with something new, I am really amazed! Absolut great work so far, especially the goods for eating and her furniture.

Glad the vid was of some use.
Frank, yep she's amazing at her creations. Not too long ago she created a blender out of polymer clay. Someone making a Frankenstein lab, should make a blender like that and then see if anyone notices. Hehe

You´re right! When I see such stuff like the refridgerator or the Laptop, done from sculpey, I go crazy! When I see it right, she sells her stuff on exhibitions for Doll houses. She does NOT make castings so far, it is all one of a kind!
