Heads Will Roll!

#1 Post by gnma2 »

Polar Lights "Chamber Of Horrors Guillotine". I added wood grain with a combination of sandpaper and an Exacto knife.
Also swapped out the rope with model ship rigging line and the basket with a miniature dollhouse accessory.
Thanks for looking.

Oh wow!
That looks great!

I've built this kit, so I know how much work that wood grain was. And it looks outstanding.
And I like how you weathered it a bit. Making the ends of the boards darker at the bottom and such.
(the only slight criticism I might make is that the area around the basket would probably look more realistic if it were darker. Being stained by all the beheadings it has seen)
The other upgrades you made are both logical, and well done. Really puts the whole thing over the top.

A really lovely piece and something to be proud of.
So much nicer than the one I built over a decade ago.

The enhancements you added are awesome. The rigging rope, basket and wood texture really make this model pop! Excellent job to make this model much more detailed and realistic. Makes me want to buy and build one.

Brilliant job! That is the best build of this kit I've seen. I've got mine tucked away to build at some point and I can only hope I can make it look that good!

Great detailing on this!

I would like to get this kit and do a Alice Cooper version of this scene.

Excellent all round job!
I forget where I saw it but the original blades used to be just hunks of not necessarily sharp metal that would just smash down on the neck. Wow and UGH
