Definitely an interesting piece. The detail of the sculpt was a little soft overall, but I guess that's what you get in a styrene kit. It would've been nice to have a helmet without a seam down the middle, but again, hard to do that and get the actual head inside of it. Lots of shading with pigments on this one. The body is a bit more metallic than what is being captured by the camera. Not as metallic as I'd like, but it's definitely got some sparkle to it in person. Oh man, that looks great.
Love the additions you made. That newspaper is amazing.
And those leaves really give it the realism it needs to ground it.
The paint on all of it is perfect.
Would be nice to find some alternative helmet though. I agree the seem is distracting, also, it just looks too thick.
(one of the things that has been keeping me from buying the kit myself)
And yeah Tay, that helmet really bugs me, but oh well. The fit is so close I would've thought they could tweak the size on the head down just slightly and the dome up slightly and probably make it fit. Then it's a question if they can even mold a piece like that in one single piece. I know it's possible, since it could've been molded like they do with plastic soda bottles, but Moebius probably isn't set up for that.
Looks awesome! Nice job. I definitely need to pick up this kit. I recently painted about 30 of these guys, but in 25mm scale for the Mars Attacks miniatures game. Will be fun to paint one up in larger scale.
I've had more than a few people initially ask if this was for the Mars Attacks miniatures game. I didn't even know it existed prior to them asking, but it must be getting pretty popular if so many people know about it.
Why it's bloody disgusting, in a very good way. Your attention to detail is what makes this model look awesome. That blood stream along the arm and then down the curb into the gutter is just so cool. It is just those little things that push this build above average. Like the weathering on his nitrogen tanks, the sewer grate, the dried leaves and the yellow caution paint on top of the curb all help to push this model up to the gold level.

Well, with the way the body and the head are sculpted now, the head is wider than the collar on the suit, so a single piece helmet wouldn't be able to fit over the head. So they'd either need to have a smaller head, or a wider collar on the body.
