I only live about 20 miles from Adam Wests childhood home on the Lower Waitsburg Rd. near Walla Walla Wash. I drive by his home regularly. I understand he comes to Walla Walla every so often to give lectures and gives money to "Whitman College" in Walla Walla for school projects and student aid. I enjoyed watching him in the 1960's Batman TV series but haven't actually met him. I was told he was in Walla Walla a couple of years ago but I didn't hear about it until after he had left.
"Oh Well," perhaps I'll get lucky enough to meet him someday and get his autograph if I'm lucky.

Wow, when did I get so old?
Watched it then and watch it now on METV.
Met Adam, Burt, Julie and Yvonne a few times at cons and shows.
My wife is very cool with my monster and garage kit collecting but she hates Batman! She usually retires when it's on. What's wrong with her ?!?!

I always heard a rumour that an episode was interupted to give a report on Apollo 13's situation. The fan-base went Bat-5hit crazy and bombarded the station to get the show back on......... Any truth to that one?

edit: False. Apollo 13 was in 1970. :?

According to Adam's memoir, the first Julie Newmar Catwoman appearance was interrupted when there was an issue with one of the early Gemini missions. AND....switchboards at ABC lit up.

Awesome! I had the wrong mission. Cool to know that's true. Julie over Gemini makes puuuuurfect sense. :P

My favorite show I watched in the 60's and then pretend played at school with a best buddy. Met Burt once and got the B/W photo and signature. He had what seemed to be his girlfriend with him at the signing. One of the perks of this show!
