How about those pixie bombs?! Pretty wicked grenades. What was with the spear shattering the one white walker? Was the spear dragon glass? Is dragon glass what made the first WW?
Very confused on the entire Hodor situation. Was it Bran in the future that caused Walder/Hodor's seizure to make him loose his mind in the past?
Not a fan of this episode.
Also if all of the captains are willing to follow Yara to sail away why not just stay and fight?

That's my understanding.
It seems Bran can have an impact on past events by viewing those events.
Even if it wasn`t him yelling `Hold the door` his spectral presence in the past allowed the message to be passed on.
Apparently he`ll also be able to see the future and control others as he did Hodor.

Hmmm. Surprised no one has said anything about last night's ep yet.
Seems like I was on the right track a while back.

Bran - supposed to be back this season
Littlefinger - what's he been up to
Tully - nothing on him either
Rickon - are they ever going to follow up on where he is?
Well, they've touched on 3 of those now, and the previews show the fourth is coming.
Though I realized there are still 2 others but I don't know if they are still in play or not.
Gendry - last we saw, he was rowing away. Possible heir to the throne.
Benjen Stark - last seen in season one going north beyond the wall. Never returned.
So we finally find out what happened to Benjen.
Wow! What a badass now. That opening fight scene was cool.

Tully's dad is a real dick. But now we have another Valerian sword in the mix. Wonder if he is going to be hunted down for it?

Does anyone think Margaery really turned over a new leaf? I think she is just playing everyone. Talk about throwing a huge wrench in the works though. I wanted to see those religious fanatics taste steel.
But it does put Jamie back into play. And now he is on a collision course with Brienne again, as she is going to see Blackfish.
Would also be nice to finally see some payback for the Red Wedding.

Arya's story is finally moving along. Can't wait to see her take on that other girl.
Her and Needle sitting in the dark waiting. And we've already seen she can while blind, so she should have a huge advantage in the dark.
Also, not really sure about that other girl. She doesn't seem like she is on the right path for the Many Faced God either. It's all about her, and her hatred for Arya.

And I don't know about Dani. Her speech while inspiring, also seemed a bit fanatical.
Especially the part about tearing everything down. Possibly following in the mad king's footsteps?

Amazingly enough, and this is a shocker in itself -

NO ONE DIED IN AN EPISODE OF GAME OF THRONES!!!

except the undead, of course, but they were already dead...

I got a feeling that changes next week - we do see a Frey with a knife at Briennes' neck
in the previews...

oh GOD, please, not her!!!

"the Needle waiting in the Dark" sounds like a great title for an episode.

With her training Arya should be far more deadly with Needle than the other girl would be with quarter staff or any other weapon she is likely to use. Needle being of valerian steel isn't going to be broken, which is a common tactic of stick fighters facing blades. While not a chopping style blade it might well cut through a wooden staff.

My big question is, was Arya given a test? My theory is that the man, Jaquen, did not really want the actress killed and it was up to Arya to do the right thing. The Waif, servant girl was not explicit in what Arya did or did not do.

J'aquen (sp) indicated to Arya that "the price was paid" meaning that younger actress playing Sansa had ponied up to see her rival
keelt. So, looks like Arya was in violation. And she knows what's coming.

Anyone think Drogon's got even BEEGER? And that some gk producer should do one?

And saaaaaay- all of you Wonderfesters that will be there Sunday night - whaddya say to a viewing party??? Huh???Huh??? Filmy??? Trevor???Stormy??? Yeah???

Needle's not valyrian steel. It's castle forged which means high quality but no where near the same.

I think it was a test, and Arya failed. The faceless men took a contract and gave it to her to complete. She not only failed, she warned the target and named the young actress. That's a betrayal of the many-faced god. If Arya had refused the contract and walked out, likely nothing would have been done. If she merely failed the contract she could have either continued training or left with little to no punishment. The fact she betrayed them means they will come after her...wherever she goes.

I'd put my money on the Waif, even in the dark. She's had a lot more training than Arya (Waif looks young but is in her mid 30s). She does some of the same movements as Syrio, showing she's had some training as a water dancer. Given that Arya has really only had a few weeks training, I'd expect the Waif had a lot more and in multiple weapons. The parkour scenes from the season previews are likely Arya being found, realizing she can't win and trying to escape. Bad news for Arya is Waif knows the same streets and better.

Best case is she makes it to the docks and finds a ship to another of the free cities or back to westeros (to get to Jon at the Wall). Alternatively she gets taken in by the mummers and travels with them until she can find a ship. Bad news is, more faceless men will come for the lead actress. The contract continues as long as she lives. Whoever comes for the actress will also kill Arya.

For her story to mean anything, Arya has to find her way back to Westeros. By reclaiming Needle, she's decided not to be "a girl that has no name". She's saying my name is Arya Stark, and I want back in the fight. So, I think her fleeing from the Faceless is just a mechanism to bring her back into play in the main story. The only other thing that comes to mind is that this is some kind of final test, and afterwards she'll be assigned to kill one of the story's major players. If that's the case, then it's that death contract which will bring her back to Westeros.

Do you think the Lannisters will be joining the Northern armies to defeat the Boltons?
I was sorry for Arya, being attacked like this by the Waif. And to think she was going to use the Needle?!

Well hello folks!

Taking a few weeks off so figured one of the things I'd do was find out what this "Game Of Thrones" thingy was all about.

Got through 6 seasons in 6 days - now fully up to date - but emotionally drained.

Damn this is good (like you didn't already know that).
