Not really a song, but an album.
For some reason at work today I just started thinking about what an awesome album Bat Out Of Hell is.
So I've been listening to it today.
I wasn't wrong. Still an awesome album.

New Alter Bridge - "Show Me A Leader" - and is it me - or have they gone a bit "Volbeat" with this track?

http://bravewords.com/news/alter-bridge ... -announced

Love it.

Myles Kennedy crushes it (as he always does).

Must be you.
Not getting any Volbeat vibe from this tune at all.
If anything, I was thinking the intro to that song reminded me of TSO.

TOTALLY against "type" for me (me being somewhat - shall we say - unappreciative towards country music) . . .

BUT - I saw the headline, started watching out of curiosity (and respect), and loved it.

Miranda Lambert is brought to tears when she holds up a soldier's sign at her Hartford, Connecticut show last week.

Let's see ANY of you watch/listen and NOT shed a tear. Seriously.

For Miranda, the Soldier and the ENTIRE audience - a truly beautiful moment that transcends musical taste.

A local biker buddy of mine was in a horrendous accident 5 weeks back - separated from his bike at 120kph (75mph) and bounced and hit multiple times (no road rash) before coming to a halt. This would have killed lesser mortals (we lost him twice before the Doctors brought him back), and despite cracking or breaking EVERY rib (front & back) + 2 skull fractures, internal bleeding in chest & brain cavity - the dude made it through and is on the way to recovery.

This came out last week and I immediately linked some of the lyrics to the event. It's helped me keep my spirits up as I watched someone I thought was indestructible struggle to hold on to life.
Danny-boy, Mikey and the new guys remind us what the early 90's were like - a track that could have easily come off either of the first 2 TYKETTO albums - but it's from the new one due Oct 14th 2016. SOOOOO awesome to hear this - instant playlist material, and has been on repeat since it was first uploaded.

Tyketto are top of my list for "megastars that should have been", and it's wonderful to see these fella's continuing to make great music.

Hang in there Dennis Bro' - you and me have WAY too much in common and have many miles to travel before we part ways.

These guys are really cool - sound like a lot of the NWOBHM bands from the 80's - complete with Leppard, Thunder & Whitesnake influences.

Figure John should like this one - MAYBE Trev - hopefully some of you others too :)

The new album "Join The Circus" was released a week back - well worth getting! - https://www.amazon.com/Join-Circus-Soul ... B01HRJFWUY

didn't do it for me...that soft/hard mix thing didn't work at all on this tune...got to about 2:30 on the counter...

when i think of NWOBHM 1980's, i think maiden, diamondhead, budgie, saxon

Budgie weren't NWOBHM, but this DOES have some of their 80's sound (and Diamondhead's & Saxon's) in it too.

Maybe it depends on how well you know the NWOBHM bands (minus the big boys Maiden & Leppard).

LOL - I didn't mean because they (some of them) were Welsh (it's not their fault) - more because they had been around a LONG time before the NWOBHM "movement" started.

I'm gonna have to give them a bit better listen over the weekend.
There is something there. Can't put my finger on exactly who they remind me of, but they remind me of someone.
