That's disappointing, I enjoyed the film but was really looking forward to
some really cool special features.

I really enjoy the stop motion extras as well and on Kubo they talked a little about each of the monsters and very little else. Extreme disappointment even if I have seen the same thing before I would have loved more info.

Phantasm Remastered (1979)
I had that in my hand and put it back before I checked out.
Always have to remind myself that December is for the kids.

I did okay for Christmas. I got one Blu-ray, The Legend of the Lone Ranger (1981), as a gift, but I really made out big time in the gift card department. I received $275 worth of Amazon gift cards and used them to buy 3 DVDs and 16 Blu-rays, which are listed below:

DVD
Night Gallery, Season 2
Night Gallery, Season 3
What Lies Beneath
Blu-Ray
It's a Wonderful Life
Psycho II
Psycho III
Psycho IV: The Beginning
Beetlejuice
Bubba Ho-Tep
Escape from New York (Collector's Edition)
Beware! The Blob
Salem's Lot (1979)
Stephen King's Cat's Eye
Hammer Films Double Feature: The Revenge of Frankenstein and The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb
Hammer Films Double Feature: The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll and The Gorgon
Hammer Horror 8-Film Collection (The Brides of Dracula, The Curse of the Werewolf, The Evil of Frankenstein, The Phantom of the Opera, Kiss of Evil, Paranoiac, Nightmare, and Night Creatures)
The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
The Campaign

And while shopping at the supermarket, I came across a Blu-ray comedy called Moms' Night Out for $5.99 and bought it!

Ordered the Blu-ray of the Director's Cut of Hellboy, it should be here tomorrow.

Also pre-ordered The Mad Magician (1954), starring Vincent Price, on 3D Blu-ray from Twilight Time. The disc also has two Three Stooges shorts on it, Pardon My Backfire and Spooks (both 1953), and both of those are in 3D as well. The Blu-ray is scheduled to be released on January 17th and is strictly limited to just 3,000 copies.

Well my DVD player gave up the ghost so I hope to buy a new one tomorrow or Monday. While I'm at it I'll look through the DVDs and try to find something of interest.
I'll read back over this thread for ideas.

Last DVD I bought was the first season of "Wings", a pretty good little comedy in its day.

Can't see paying a lot for a blue ray player so long as I don't have a TV with resolution good enough to take advantage of it.
I picked up an el cheapo Curtis DVD Player on sale for $25. I have a much better DVD player hooked up to the TV in the living room but seldom use it.
My VHS/VCR still works fine, but I plan to get another soon while they still make them.
