Jeff Yagher Frankenstein Aurora Box Art Monsters in Motion

#1 Post by KCP »

Mr. Yagher's Aurora Frankenstein box art tribute kit spoke to me like an AMT 3 in 1 customizing kit: I really liked his Bama tribute tombstone, but I also liked the Aurora "distant, ruined castle with the lights on" seen on the box art. So, I lopped off the tombstone from the sculpture so I could have it both ways. Funny thing is, on the Aurora instruction sheet I have, the "castle" looks more like a tall, dark, and distant tombstone (or something), with no lights on, plus there are what look like two or three low-lying tombstones to the creature's right...but it's really hard to tell. Anyway, I liked it with "lights on", so that's that.
I used Bama's box artwork as basis for painting the backdrop and also added a base "heightener" to help match the backdrop.
Some pix have flash on...
Long, misty, modeling days....
Thank you, Jeff, for providing another really nice kit for us.

Looks awesome. Nice job recreating the monster's colors. Looks like he stepped right off the box!

what an outstanding job you did with this kit
Even the eyes look like the box art colors are dead on and your use of shadow on the hands is great. One of my favorite series ..great work
