Vampirella

#1 Post by Splash-Art »

Hello to all!
I picked this kit up a few years back (somewhat) started with a few damaged areas. Her right arm was broken along with a broken heel. Besides the areas in need of attention, I had a few other ideas (and areas) I wanted to work on. I wanted to make a custom arm bracelet; flatten her belly/define her abs, and alter her hair.

I started on the arm, and used this custom spacer in place of the bracelet to do all my fitting/shaping.

After I finally got things to fit to my liking I replaced the spacer with the actual bracelet.

It's not perfect... Image

I also addressed the broken heel. I'll shape when I start sanding.

When I started working on her abs...I noticed that there was no Bat on her costume, so I had to create something. I decided to carve it out. It was a bit of a challenge, but think it came out okay. I'll clean it up more once I start sanding. I also flatten out her tummy, and tried to define her abs a bit more.

Now to focus on her hair. I thought it looked too flat and wanted to give it a little more body on the top and sides. I took some scrap plastic and shaped it to give myself a starting point. After heating and bending each piece I glued in place. I'll sculpt it more before I fill in the open areas with putty.

Still not where I want, but it's getting better... Still a lot more sanding and shaping...

Okay...Hopefully I still have everyone's attention? Not sure about the rest of the club, but I enjoy viewing WIP pics and finished pictures too! Here's what Vampirella looks like displayed. I appreciate the viewing, and thank everyone for checking out my post(s).

Thanks everyone for taking the time to respond! Scuzzfink85 I was lucky that her fingers were not damaged. A broken arm is far easier to fix than fingers...lol. I have two more Vampirella kits that I plan to hopefully start very soon! Have had them stored away for some time now and can't wait to work on them once I get the time. Just to little time and too many kits

She's amazing! It's amazing watching someone take an already wonderful kit and add, or remove, and subtly change it into something better. And you're a Master at it.

Keep 'em coming :)

I was lucky enough to come across both these near the same time, and had the funds to add them to the collection! Thanks sparkvark007 for viewing :)

Nicely done. On the recent shots of the new kits, not familiar with the second one. I have seen the other one of her stretched out before but not the second one.

The second kit was sculpted by Robert Von Behr. I started working on this kit, and will be posting WIP pics soon. Making several changes (as usual) to making her more unique.... Thanks for viewing!
